KAT and Butler have legit beef between them.  The owner is losing faith in Thibs. They will definitely keep KAT over Butler. The Thibs/Butler meeting is the come to Jesus moment. If Butler and KAT can't work it out then Butler will be traded. They aren't letting KAT walk.

I'm not taking any outcome off the table.

Months ago, twolve fans were saying all is well with Jimi and the rumors of strife were made up.

Now they seem willing to accept a divorce is coming.

Check back in after a few weeks ....

Yup...this thing could go complete 180 and there’s a huge deal involving KAT. He was rumored for Blake last year granted they were most likely bs but his name leaked for a reason. Whether Thibs thinks he’s a primadonna I don’t know. Thibs does run players into the ground though so maybe KAT ain’t down with that but Butler seems more like a Thibs guy and KAT is turning a little soft...Butler prolly hates that about KAT.

JWest asked for KAT in the Blake trade, Minny promptly said 'HellToTheNaw'

There was zero chance that was going to happen. KAT isn't leaving Minnesota. The owner loves that kid almost as much as he loves KG. He would absolutely fire Thibs and trade Butler if that's what it took to keep KAT there.

They should Fire Thibs.

He's done a decent job as coach. The exec part is a different story. Kinda sounds like BudCox days with us.

If Thibs draws a line in the sand over this they will let him go. I can't stress enough how much the Twolves owner loves KAT. Butler, Wiggins, Thibs, whoever else, they could kick rocks if it comes down to brass tacks.

They can get a haul for Butler. KAT and Wiggins both got better last season as the year developed esp. on the defensive end. Teague was a waffle early but got better as the chemistry started to click. If they could get enough pieces back from a Butler trade it isn't the end of the world for the TWolves. Remember Butler missed a significant chunk of the season last year and they still made the playoffs.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, kemosabe.  Wolves barely got in after absolutely floundering once Jimi got hurt.  Just sayin'.  It's not like they blazed in there.

And, no offense (which is what you say when you're about to say something offensive), but I got my popcorn out on this one.  I'm rootin' for chaos, mayne.

They traded him because they knew they didn't have a team to win a title and they wanted to give KG a chance to win a ring. It was a classy move from the TWolves. Kinda the opposite when Barry Sanders wanted to leave Detroit to try to win a ring and the Lions wouldn't let him go and forced him to retire.

Clippers, Knicks, Nets are his reported teams.

The report said Butler is willing to sign an extension with the team that trades for him, but that doesn't sound right. He'll be leaving $40 if he extends his current contract as opposed to becoming a FA and resigning with a new deal starting at $32 mil for 5 years.

The Wolves STRUGGLED to hold on to a playoff spot when Jimmy went down. We were watching that draft pick slot very closely.

They still got it. They will get something back from a Butler trade. When he went down last year they had nothing to replace him with but still held on to make the playoffs with an almost 50 win team.

I'm not worried too much about the TWolves as long as KAT stays.
