@NBASupes you don’t think there’s somewhat a little bit of interest from Schlenk and staff to see what reddish would get the team in return?

Schlenk himself has said he's taken calls on all our players to guage their value.

He's listening to call on just about everyone if that's what you are asking. Offering is massively different than listening and the offering, we haven't been doing much on anyone outside of Bruno this go around.

There is truth to the GS wanting Bogi rumors but there just isn't a deal there without involving a 3rd team. GS doesn't have the assets we'd want.

We should give the Pelicans a Celts like offer, Bruno for Ball.

A Celts offer would have the Pels throwing in a pick as well.  Because they are getting the benefit of salary relief right?

You know, you say things then get me thinking.

Rondo + Bruno for Lonzo

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yforjx2t works. We'd probably have to add something like a 3 year pick swap contingency (if Atlanta's pick is higher than New Orleans they'd have the right to swap but yah....there's room to begin negotiations there.

No because the Celts are absorbing it into an exception that will effectively expire after Thursday.

Let me clarify that.  The Celtics have a traded player exception that expires if not used the same year.  Effectively, the deadline to trade is Thursday so they lose that. There is actually incentive on the Celtics to use it or lose it. If they use it, they gain a player to use in future trades to keep the salary elevated. Without it, they are just another team over the cap who can only sign a vet min.

It was a joke because the Celtics try to rip everyone off and usually end up sitting on their hands.  The post to which I responded had suggested that we trade Bruno for Lonzo if we want to do a "Celtics" style imbalanced trade.  After seeing some of the recent rumors of what the Celtics hoped to get for us (like a JC for Brown needing to involve Trae and Hunter from today), I said that the Bruno / Lonzo wasn't sufficiently lopsided for the Celtics and they would need more value thrown in even though the trade was already disproportionately weighted against the Pelicans (and used the flimsly notion that Lonzo makes more money than Bruno to justify it).  Since we don't have an exception, what we would take to do a "Celtics-style" deal doesn't really relate to the Celtics actual cap situation (although I did find it an interesting aside).
