FAVORS YESSSS

Last night, with a comfortable lead, Nate had the opportunity to show us some Favors.  We should have known that wasn't going to happen.  Why?  Check the box score!  Nine!!  Yep, he's using a nine man rotation and Favors was not one of the nine.

:smug:  Can we say, "Nate is set in his ways!"

yeah i don't really get this.   Unless we just wanted to get him before others did but Frank is sitting there for emergency/garbage time.  If that's all Favors is what's the point.

So, do you think Favors will actually see court time in an actual game before his ten days are up?

The maybe-too-easy-to-be-correct theory is that they'd wanted to fill the 15th slot with Favors ever since CC went down, but the owner wasn't open to that until the 10-day contract option became available. The point being, if you're down one big due to injury, then in-game, that has extra impact if your starter is regularly getting into foul trouble as OO was for most games since before Christmas.

But none of us can be shocked that Nate won't go that deep on his bench unless he absolutely is forced to do that.

Will be interesting to see what happens now that CC is back.

DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!

Maybe Favors is just what the Hawks needed.  Question:  What is the Hawks record since signing Favors?  See.  He doesn't even have to play.  Just be in the locker room, suit up and sit on the bench.  So far it seems to be working !!

:peanut-butter-jelly-time:GO ATL HAWKS!

His 10 Day expired today.

Will we give him another 10 day?  Or sign someone else?  Or leave the spot open for a 2Way player going to Atlanta from our G League Skyhawks?

Perhaps a trade or two coming?

Of course you did. I mean, how would you even know?

It's the same treatment that OKC gave to Horford... but maybe Horf "looked washed" too after his season got cut short. (The two of them pulled essentially identical WS/48 in those seasons, btw.)

Favors hasn't played. There's no evidence either way where he's at and what he could do.

That he didn't play in 10 days, at the risk of stating the obvious, has a lot to do with Capela's seemingly unanticipated return, and with a head coach who runs a short rotation anyhow.
