That knee surgery made Bogi or Iron man and other stuff....

This a combination of two factors:

(1) Bogi is a good player who makes the game easier for his teammates.

(2) Trae and DJM don't work together so when one is off the court to make room for Bogi the team is better regardless of whether it is Trae or DJM on the bench.

If the Hawks swapped Bogi for OG instead of DJM the differential would be much lower even though Bogi would be just as good.

As far as two-man line ups, Bogi with Trae is +3 P/100.  Bogi with Murray is +1.7 P/100.  Trae with Murray is -6.7 P/100.

It is an obvious and really significant thing to me.  There is too much duplication with Trae and DJM such that they don't make each other better on offense and are terrible together on defense.  Both are talented players who would be better with a true SG beside them.

Agree.  The reason it worked in Utah with Mitchell and Conley is because Mitchell is very good off the ball as well as on the ball.  Dejounte can be good at both, but unlike Mitchell, he doesn't want to play off the ball.  It doesn't make sense to force Trae to play off the ball much anyway.

Will always be a fan of Bogi, one of the best moves the franchise made was bringing him in. But changes need to be made, we aren't going to be anything more than mid-level with the current core.
