Yep.  That's the ticket.  The Hawks need to find a third team to take Ingram.

I dont really think that Pels is going to give up Herb Jones at all and we have to give up a 10 too.

To me, i will not do any deals without picks going our way and nothing else.

Pelicans have pick 21 through Milwaukee, so they would be sending the Hawks that pick in the trade.  We could take supes's boy with that pick.

Essentially yes.  It's going to look like a loss on paper, but I think Herb is exactly what we need alongside Trae.  Also, this could open up a potential sign and trade deal with Cleveland to get Okoro.  If the Hawks get Okoro and Jones, then their perimeter defensive issues are gone.

Caris Levert is also a do not want kind of player.  Chucker who doesn’t shoot particularly well and doesn’t do much on D.  So we are giving up 3 things in this deal:

the 10th pick for the 21st

Taking on Caris Levert’s bad contract

we get Jones.  I want Jones but this seems like an overlay.

Okoro should be part of the deal if we are doing this instead of LeVert.  We can do them a favor and let them keep Caris.

I played around with it on fanspo, and it would take more than what's listed to make it go.  

This works though financially:
Hawks trade Dejounte Murray and Oneyeka Okongwu to New Orleans, AJ Griffin to Cleveland.

New Orleans trades Brandon Ingram to Cleveland, Herbert Jones and 2024 FRP to Atlanta, 2025 FRP to Cleveland.

Cleveland trades Jarret Allen and Caris LaVert to Atlanta.

It’s a better deal than getting Brandon Ingram in any fashion.

That’s so weird a few years ago they spoke about him on NBA radio gloating that every team wanted him due to his locker room presence. Now, what you mentioned vs this are mutually exclusive but how often to folks love “chuckers” on their squad.  

Having said all that, I don’t really want him on this squad either per se but if it gets us an herb I may be in.

Never the case. You can click and read all the bs needed all summer but Trae is state for life. Believe that! He is a generational talent. 
 

I’ll say it again as I have before. Trae is an unselfish superstar that loves to pass more than shoot, assist his teammates, assist the community and bring this city a championship.
