  1. I said several times Bembry is a special player, he deserves all the minutes he can handle because we have nothing to lose and because he is a better player than Baze and Belli.
  2. that is much better than Baze, Bembry can provide a lot of help as a ballhandler and defender, he can penetrate and dish and his shot will improve, he is already better player. At summer league he did 17ppg, 5 rpg, 3,5apg and 2,8spg shooting 56%, not bad for such a bad player that don't shot well...
  3. I usually don't make predicitions but I am going to make one, Bembry is going to surprise everyone out there, and he is going to finish the season as a starter and all people here and out there will see him as an important piece for the team's future. He finish the season averaging on March and April, 11ppg, 5rpg, 4.5 apg and 1,5 spg, shhoting ,45FG%, that is my prediction...
  4. I don't think we are one of the most impacted teams, we are not so bad. Is going to be hard to replace Milsap, Howard and Hardaway but I think Collins, Dedmon and Bazemore can do well. Dedmon is going to provide similar production as Howard as eventhough he is a worst player he fits better with the team. I expect great things from Collins, obviusly we are going to miss Milsap production but Ilyasova and Collins will produce at 4. Combined production I think can achieve 17ppg, 10 rpg... Hardaway? Well, I expect great things from Bembry, Baze will have a bounceback year and Belli is a good player. Schröder, Prince will be better this year.... overallI don't expect to be on the worst 5 teams and I am serious about that
  5. Considering guys like Hawes or Zeller are free agents now I think we should release Plumlee and take a chance on Zeller that could develop in a valuabke player.
  6. Stupid move if you ask me... we are rebuilding no matter what people say, we are going to win 30 games at best, we need less of Plumlees and Bellinellis and more of Diamond Stones and young and developing players. Stupid move by our GM unless something is going to happen... we all know is not the case....
  7. Now that Tyler Ennis is gone I would definately take a chance on this guy or Demetrius Jackson, huge upgrades over Delaney and Maggette, we need a serious upgrade there.
  8. Irving is the best player but not the best option for ATL as Irving wants to win now and we do not have the roster to surround Irving and compete now. Dennis is the best option for us as we are on a plan to build a contender in 2-3 years, Irving would not agree to go through that process, In 2-3 years all our picks will be on the roster and all our salaries will be gone, fantastic situation to sign FA.
  9. He is too thin, wonder if he can fight big SF, he has been really inconsistent in summer league but this is the kind of bets I am hoping, young and developing players, would have prefered KJ McDaniels though
  10. I like him because I have seen him play and know he has great potential to become a solid contributor, he also fits our systen.
  11. just 1,5 M$, cannot believe we did not pursue him hard, in the Clippers he will be lost in the rotation but I am sure here he would have been great.
  12. If Collins, Dedmon and Bembry start I would say that we could be close to last season.
  13. I hope Reed is the third big, glad Speights is not here, not sure about his influence on the lockeroom.
  14. Jackson or Ennis are interesting options, other young player is intriguing me is Quinn Cook, don't know if he will sign with NO
  15. No Bembry Prince and Dorsey today, game is going to be ugly
  16. He would come as a backup SF, we only have Prince, Baze is a G. I like him, ine of the best young players left in the FA class. Hope we sign him
  17. Nah, don't like him, I was expecting a young player...
  18. Green is not better than Reed, I think Reed is better player and better fit for us Per 36 stats says Reed is better at everything except FT%
  19. Exactly, I was refering to rookies at SL, not even a single game at NBA level, not more polished players. I remember significant impact on Howard, Okafor, Drummond, Green, KAT.... Probably more others.... My point is that is not so easy for a 19 year old big to shine on his first appearance at SL, when that happens normally is a good sign of what is coming, that was just my point. Big fails at draft at PF and C had mediocre SL appearances first year as Kwame Brown for example...
  20. Reed is more a PF than a Center although can play both positions
  21. Great signing!! We got our starting C, good defensive presence, can score in transition and pick and roll. Strange, first time I ask for a FA and gets signed, Schlenk is looking better with this signing and the Collins pick. Next please sign Willie Reed!!!
  22. Summer league always favors Guard's game, Glover was a scorer and did his thing, fine. That does not mean his game will translate to NBA. Collins is a different history, normally when a rookie big at that age shines in his first summer league he plays well at NBA, some cases come to my mind. On the other hand I have serious doubts about Collins game translating to NBA, he has relied on athleticism and power to score on dunks, he can have more problems against superior competition, I see he is still a little skinny and has to bulk up. Overall I see a player with similar game to Blake Griffin that needs to add strength and that can become a great piece for the Hawks. We will find by the middle of the season how he adapts against stronger competition. Very excited about this selection , great pick Hawks!!!
  23. I already mentioned both as young FA we should consider along with Ennis, Muhammad, McDaniels and some others... I would gladly sign both and run a 3 man rotation at PF and C with Collins. Reed switching between PF and C. I think both could explode here as DMC, Baze... They key issue here is "add hungry players"
