Gray Mule
http://espn.go.com/n...ders-pretenders Add more fuel to the fire. Post this on the front door of the locker room Coach. Well. The pretenders met the contenders - - head on. Hard to tell how the contenders could let the pretenders do this to them. (I'm a believer - - Guess they're not) Remember. With our big man out, Hawks are nothing. I'm lovin' it!!!
MaceCase
I have got to ask, is vlad in the drew doghouse? Second game in a row with no run in the first half and doesn't look like he will play against portland in meaningful action. Maybe it is just a match up issue? Matchup issues plus Marvin being back and Ivan emerging, tough to fit Vlad in that F rotation especially since he's such a specialist
Guest
Question : Blazer fan asked why the Blazers lost? Answer: Because Jamal took 22 shots I have got to ask, is vlad in the drew doghouse? I wonder the same thing, but unless Vlad is hitting 3's he doesn't do much else. LD said he moved Z back to bench and started Collins cuz he liked chemistry of Z and Vlad but we haven't seen that much anymore.....mmmmmmmm
Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted January 19, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted January 19, 2012 I like how everytime a run was needed, there was SOMEBODY different (Marv, Pargo, Joe, Josh) there to step it up. Teague and Joe kept the starting guards flustered (5-for-22 and 2-for-9 from three), and Craw got caught up playing heroball which played right into the Hawks' hands (talons?). Tightening up on the boards (42 def rebs) allowed for some good stretches where the Hawks were dictating the tempo. ~lw3
benhillboy
So I guess that Joe fella isn't too bad after all, right? #dedicated Joe Hater Club? Looks healthy and trim, jumpers are rhythmic, a little more active defensively of late, hitting big shots and free throws, logging minutes with both units. I appreciate the effort to get higher percentage opportunities with the start-stops, jabs, and freaky dribbles to freeze his man and "drive" as slow as only Joe can. Hell, above all else, he's a factor in wins instead of a goat in losses. I put my spirited hate for his game and payroll share aside when the Hawks are victorious, obviously. willthepureshooter
Joe's a freaking beast! Do you guys notice the lane spacing out there? Kind of crazy how there's lanes to the basket now that Horfords out. I like Horford a lot but, I'm liking the spacing that teams are giving us. It's very interesting to watch at times. Even when Joe gets one-on-one plays. He's getting them a lot.
High5
You know you like him deep down I don't think anyone hates Joe. He has said some stupid things, but he's generally a low key guy and a good teammate. I love watching him play when he's making the All Star contribution he's capable of. He's got a cool style (when the shots are falling) and the defensive effort is almost always there. But before people start deifying him, remember he averaged 26 points on 50% shooting for an entire month last year. The next few months weren't nearly as fruitful. Let's hope he can sustain his good play this time. Edited January 19, 2012 by High5

Guest
I can live with Joe's shot not falling as long as he is being agressive and playing well in other areas. Sometimes shot's just will not go in. I also like the fact that when we need a big bucket, or a defensive play (that steal last night) he's been effective. It may not show up in the box score, but Joe can still move those feet to deny a pass (aldridge had Joe in post and Joe did yoeman's work in denying him the ball). It amazes me how he can look so quick when he is denying his man from getting the ball, but sooo sloooow when he is making a move to the basket - but that's our Joe. I like this assertive Joe. 99PROBL3MS
I called 94-89. If twin makes that last attempt he had under thee basket I would have nailed it lol.
benhillboy
We've just had the Blazers' number for a good while now. They could've had Oden, Roy, and Rudy Fernandez and we still would've found a way. Edited January 19, 2012 by benhillboy

Good job, you were pretty darn close! We could have blown them out if twin, Zaza and Marvin didn't have 10 or so shots blocked or the ball knocked away on plays that should have been easy scores.
