Official Game Thread: Hawks - Clippers

On the last play Kyle popped out at the top of the key as open as he could possibly be, Teague wasn't aware. Missed the first free throw we had to have when the pressure was on. Teague in a nutshell I guess. Competitank at its finest though. Love watching this team on offense. I wouldn't be surprised if Doc was complimentary on how our offense runs. We kept them at their league-leading average (which is like 15 less points for us) and dropped 7 more than they usually give up. Gotta love Pero going 3/5 from three with two airballs (the new Okur I'm telling you!), Shredder had a couple moments, DeMarre has already secured his next contract, and that Sap yam on Blake better be Top 3 on Sportscenter those bastards.

Or the next Adam Morrison.

Morrison used to have games just like McDermott is having.

He's better than Morrison. His defensive fundamentals are superior to Adam's. With that said, Morrison is a better shooter than Doug.

Our next draft pick? Duplicate of Marvin W., whoever that is!

Our PG goes in, misses a layup. They rebound ball and their PG goes in and

hits his layup. Right then, we really knew, it's all over. What's with JT? Seems

that the pressure of finally getting that monkey off our back was just too much

for him. One of our best @ the line and he can't hit when he's supposed to, then

can't miss when he tries to. Cripes!

Hawks offense was good, even though JT refused to take some open shots that

we thought that he should. Our non existent defense awoke somewhat and,

while not great, at least showed some life.

Gotta blame someone on this loss and it's obvious to me that JT, more than any

other Hawk, is the goat in this game.

GO HAWKS!! WIN THE NEXT ONE, PLEASE!!

Quiz: Which PG is a Hawk? (From last night's game)

#1 - 33 MIN - FG, 3-9- 3PT, 0-1 - FT - 3-4 - ASST - 9,- TO 3,- POINTS 9

#2 - 36 MIN - FG, 7-14, - 3PT 1-2, - FT 4-4, ASST - 10 - TO 2,- POINTS 19

Hint: #2 is the player that the Hawks passed on in favor of MW, because he is too

small to play in the NFL, er NBA.

Guess this proves what my daddy told me when I was just a small lad. "Size isn't

everything. If it was, a cow could out maneuver a rabbit!"

Oh, well. A great game, even though we lost. Get the next one!

GO HAWKS!!

Man, Lou was doing some serious sulking on the bench. Anybody catch that? Dennis had a couple of nice buckets. The end of the game really was Teague in a nutshell: ties the game at 107 with a nice floater, misses a layup, turns the ball over, goes to the line with a chance to tie the game, misses the first (check), makes the second (checkmate).

I disagree. I think McDermott is the better shooter. Statistically he was better from both 2 and 3 point range and Morrison's shooting ability was a bit overrated. .503 fg% for Morrison, .550 for McDermott. From 3, .368 for Morrison, .458 for McDermott.Plus Dougie McBuckets is one of the all time great nicknames.

LOL . . . even the honorable GM is taking shots. Simple, but effective post.
