Start with a vet PG for insurance and hopefully some amount of mentoring for Dennis. Expecting our coaching staff to cover ninety percent of that.

Bench is in doubt until free agency is over....

 

All in all we'll be fine and back in the postseason unless we make trades. But don't forget other teams have definitely improved on paper so don't be surprised if the is even more competitive than it was last season.

Edit: it's closer to 9-10 million once you cut/renounce Scott and Hinrich. Splitter is such dead weight and he would allow us to throw a semi max at someone if his contract could be absorbed by someone.

 

It's smart to just play this out for the next draft and free agency. Probably move Sap sometime by the deadline or so.  Hate it or love it Dwight and Dennis are our building blocks.

Trade Thabo and Kyle right now for future 1st rounders. 

Sell very high on Millsap and get a prime prospect. 

Rebuild around D12, Dennis and Baze and lose 55 games and put yourself in position to land Josh Jackson in the draft. 

 

What we will do. 

Look to clear more space. 

We can't trade Splitter since his backup will be Moose. Mike Scott is likely gone, 

Hype up Dwight Howard like he's prime Dwight and talk about the system. 

Hype up the system and our development. 

Fail. 

Keep Sap and he loses value and we are stuck with him. 

Win 35-38 games. 

Sap leaves. 

We sign Tim Hardaway Jr. to the max and reach for a senior with the 11th pick. 

Attendance drops. Those who hated Horford will say, he wasn't that good but Dwight sucks and is not what they expected. We talk the system for another year.

I am... and have been... all for that.

Whatever we do, we need to vault above the cap so we can gain an MLE.
