In search of the glass half-full: This line-up might be the league's most-est defensive juggernaut

Think you talked about that last night Hazer and it does make you think about some heavy hitting playoff basketball that has worked so well in the past. Detroit's Bad Boys and Riley's Knicks really stand out in my mind. Both teams made it to the finals with a ton of D.

And you know what they say.... defense wins championships!  :cheer:

Defensively we are going to be a beast!

Offensively, BU PG will hurt us scoring wise. Schröder's 11ppg in just 20 minutes is hard to find. But I do think D12, SAP, Schröder for starters will match or beat Horf, SAP, and Teague's ppg totals.

I believe it was Pat Summitt who said, "Offense wins fans, defense wins games and rebounding wins championships!"

We still have a fully recovered Korver on the roster and have now added Malcom DeLaney from over seas to give us

some real fire power with our second unit.

Superman may be old, slow and over the hill and can't hit free throws but you can bet your keester that he will grab

a rebound or two along the way.  In order to miss a free throw, you must  draw the foul and he will do that as opposed to

what our former center did.

Interesting off season so far.  Hawks will look different when the season begins with all the changes.

Yeah, it's been a little crazy but we do have a center now that likes the paint and what comes with it.

Yeah add in Bembry and Prince and we got a lot of defensive potential. Offense might be a little messy as we only have 1 known player on this roster who can create from the perimeter. Thats why im hoping Bembry pans out, it would be awesome to have another player who can create with the ball in his hands to help take the pressure off dennis

Yes sir.  She did.  Pat understood that championships are won in the trenches.  Limiting your opponent to one possession on offense, while getting a few extra offensive possessions of your own, will aid you in your championship goals.

All of a sudden, we now have 2 of the top 20 rebounders in the league on the roster in Howard and Millsap.  Expect 20 rebounds per game from that duo.  If they can also give us 33+ points a game, that'll be big time for the Hawks.

Nobody can score on this team and that's what ultimately wins in this league.  Defense is great and all, but when your offense is can't find the bottom of the net you lose.  That was pretty evident again this post season.

This is crazy we will score at will. Dennis is a great penetrater and that compliment Dwight Howard very well. The defense will be great. Looking back at the draft the hawk's had a plan the entire time. All we need offensively is to add shooters. Look at Dwight Howard in Orlando same thing drive and kick pg and shooters.
