They have salary to burn. More than likely they keep Gallo until the trade deadline then flip him as an expiring for a longer term asset / assets/ pick.

Is this sourced?  Have you been playing coy with us? Knowing the entire time the discussions have involved Gallo?

Partially sourced. My source said at some point in the JC to Murray rumors that "who said JC was going to SAS?" and wouldn't respond to follow up questions. Source came back later and said don't say anything until after the draft about that comment. They quoted the comment so I would wtf they were talking about.

So no, I can't sit here and honestly say I knew that Gallo and picks would be the trade because SAS is going full rebuild. It is something I speculated about, got that comment from my source, and sat on it because I was asked not to mention it.

I also was not supposed to talk about us going after KD but I told the source that was going to get out anyways.
