Seems like there is overlap in interest.  Gallo should have plenty of teams wanting to add him cheap and he gets more cash when he is cut.  Not a ton of downside for him to extend and clearly better for ATL.

Drafts can be deeper that doesn’t guarantee at all what the hawks get will be better. Murray isn’t gobert or sga but he’s a not far behind and paying an offensive limiter center that much money isn’t getting you anywhere. Enjoy watching trae get trapped nonstop still. We would win a ton of regular season games and be trash in the playoffs with gobert. Sga would net a significantly higher package than Murray but like many hawks fans keep dreaming about the next guy and the next guy after that. Never push the chips to the middle of the table 

Garbage is a crazy take. I get some may feel sour towards how he and the hawks handled things. But honestly if you put cam reddish in a rotation and give him solid mins with a decent amount of shots, he would be a starter on a few teams. He’s still young and still developing. But I’ve seen plenty of games where he was our best 3 & D guy. That’s important. Not saying he’s all star caliber but he’s not a scrub.

Not sure they have a lot of assets.  Their 2023 pick is owed to the Knicks (with top 10 protection).  That pushes out the cadence at which they can give away picks and after next year they own their own but no other team's first round picks.

Knicks are out, T-Wolves only checked-in, Miami only checked-in (supposedly). Miami would have to deal with Kyle Lowry being butthurt vs. Murray. 

Knicks.. all you have to do is do salary projections on their existing talent and add Murray in and they got problems long term to keep him. I say they are out.

Spurs have no leverage so they can decide to hold Murray hostage until trade deadline (and take a worse deal - 2 FRP plus salary) or the frameworks now. 

Hawks Ideal: 1 or 2 FRP plus Salary

Spurs Ideal: 4 FRP plus Salary

Happy Medium: 3 FRP plus Salary

At this point I think the flushing out better deals phase is past and we are waiting on Gallo signature vs. JC 3rd partner recipient.

I'm willing to believe that Gallo plus 2 FRPs with some protections (top 10 then top 3) will get it done.   Spurs are running out of options.  Murray is attractive but all this time has made people sit down and look hard.  We are not as desperate as we seem.  IF Spurs want to play hardball, then we will have to do that.. we will not do the deal, go after Brogdon or Oladipo... and then we will watch the Spurs miss Wimbie...because Murray Bobby Sura'd them...

I will remind them of that reality as I'm leaving...  If they keep pushing these stupid trades... 4 FRPs, OO + 3FRPs, 3FRPs with no protection.. I will remind them that we're not that desperate and then...

Center should be heavily defense. There’s nothing special about capela offensively other than his great commitment to screens he don’t split them like JC always tend to do.

I’ll take Brogdon since he has playmaking abilities the other two options don’t have in their skill set.
