Spud2nique
Hawks and Clipps. Like every year. I put my money where my mouth was and put some cash on it. Hawks $87.05 to win $1,915.10 if they come out the East. Clipps $75 to win $243.75 $2,158.85 if I hit both. Who you got? East and West?

benhillboy
Whoever has key contributions from rookies to spell their vets during the regular season for a deep playoff run with a roster closest to their opening day will reach the Finals. I have no idea who that is but in a utopian society of course everyone wants to see Warriors/ Heat, yes! No? Just me okay. Regardless of what Wiseman and Kuminga do I doubt they can get back without GP2 as he tied all defensive loose ends. If the Heat keep Jovic in wrapping paper like they did with Yurtseven they’re gonna come up short again asking Bam to do too much, especially with Lowry playing like dung. As long as the Sixers, Lakers, and Nets are eliminated from contention as soon as humanly possible like last season I’m good. Hearing about those teams turn my stomach. Feel bad for my boy Ham and that sh*tshow he signed up for. I can’t see the Clippers. Their two best players love getting injured and I’m not even sure Kawhi likes basketball. Bruce Brown with the Nuggets is gonna be very interesting. They’ve never had a lockdown defender in Jokic’s time there. Wolves getting people excited but their coach Finch has many question marks. Danny Green was a good add, gotta have as much veteran leadership as possible when Ja is your face. Adams ain’t getting any younger they should drop a bit from last year’s amazing season. Boston doesn’t even know what to expect from itself but I’ve never liked the Smart/ Brown/ Tatum combo. Shot selection and ball movement just too quirky and wishy washy between them. Zion is key for the Pels, of course. If he can stay healthy they’re a dark horse. I got Herb Jones on a Scottie Pippen like trajectory and he has a solid coach. There’s a malaise hanging over the Bucks and the Suns. Joe ingles doesn’t move the needle and Ayton coming back with Crowder (their best perimeter defender despite Bridges’ popularity) in a contract dispute is just weird. Wood is a very good add to Dallas, still a mediocre roster. I love the Blazers additions, still hate the player they’re built around. Donovan Mitchell is fool’s gold, the Cavs will flame out in the first round or get trounced in the second. Unfortunately I just don’t see contention for our Hawks. It’s a long way up from the 26th ranked defense, especially when losing our best perimeter defender in Delon for a smaller, slightly less efficient one in DeJounte with a much higher workload. Just to note: After 42 contests, a five-game losing streak had the Hawks sitting at 17-25. They had the league’s second-best offense and third-worst defense. In the final 40 games of the season, the Hawks went 26-14, and they had the third-best offense and 16th-best defense during that stretch There is no comparison offensively of Murray vs Wright while I think Murray can hold his own defensively plus his rebounding. Spud2nique
Consensus other than Hawks seems to be Warriors and Bucks. I know gambling should be done with the brain but y’all know me I just can’t put money on the warriors and more than that, I don’t think they are getting out of the west this year. (Repeated by me before I’m sure but I think it’s gonna be somebody else). Bucks- This was the one team other than the Hawks to put cash on to be a safe team coming out of the East but I went with my heart and went with who I hope to be the team that we all love and would love to see do it, it would be awesome to get to the finals, I couldn’t bet the Bucks and have my Hawks win it without me . Btw, here is the copy of the current odds from the Bellagio sportsbook.
Spud2nique
Dang, I should ride another $20 for the Hawks to win it all. At 50/1 odds that’s a cool G right there. How the Bulls got better title odds than us? Interesting..

Premium Member Peoriabird Posted September 27, 2022 Premium Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2022 Gotta see how Nate coaches this team. Do the Hawks have the talent to compete with any team in the east? Easily! But Nate and the coaching staff have to do their part with player development, game management, Offense and Defensive scheme, Matchup solutions, and PR. And most importantly handling his superstar. If he can get Trae to maximize his talents and work on his challenges, the sky is the limit for these Atlanta Hawks!
