I would as well. I always saw McGee as the backup although towards the end it seemed Frank the tank was coming alive.

The end... of what? He was eligible to play 13 friggin games. And only got into 9 of them. And only played significant minutes in 6 of them.

 

Amazing the hype around here for a guy whose previous season featured 3 games total... total... where he made an important contribution.

Traded someone we didn't reaslly expect to play a lot for someone we don't expect to play a lot.  Nothing really worth mentioning except, we go from being over to being under the tax.

JHoliday is 33 years old, and in serious decline. I don't care how much one reads into the situation that Nate absolutely loves the guy, Schlields calls the shots. At least, I sure hope so.

Serious decline??? He wasn't good to end the season in Sac after the trade but (it's Sac) and his Indy numbers last year are on par with his previous 2 years in Indy.

I'm calling it - JHol will be here for the duration of his contract.

Here's why I think he will be here: He's a veteran for the 2nd unit - to start the season he will be slotted between Tyrese/AJ at SG and JJ at PF....they're gonna need some help being in the right position.

I've been wrong before. I'm not wrong about this. Numbers can lie, of course, but these are some dramatic numbers... I don't think they're lying.

I'm not really super excited about Justin but his overall 3p% last year was basically the same as Bogi.   His Indy percentage put him in the same range as Hunter/Gallo.

I was wrong on 3 weeks, I was wrong on the possibility to package him later with an exception.  I was not wrong that he wouldn't start the season with us. He was never in our plans. I'm still mad K'von is gone but I get it.

You're super excited, then, about the trend from 30, to 31, to 32 years old... and how that suggests we should feel about age 33?... seems like you're grasping for something nice to say about JDay and wanted to ignore that... but it was the emphasis of the post to which you appeared to be responding after all, right?

Why are some people so in denial about this? Is it b/c JDay is such a nice guy? I dunno. (I do have my working theory on that, but I'm just not sure it would be well-received to put it out there. I'm in one of those "nice" moods today. )
