And coupled with the off-season talk about him, in particular, buying into his role I think there’s some smoke but we will see how it plays out.

Dre is the prototypical forward to fit an Aaron Gordon/Michael Porter Jr role for us in Quinn’s team centric style.

I hope he can get healthy and buy in.

JC's criticisms are aimed at Nate and mostly Trae for selfish stat driven play. Trae took that to heart in a positive way. Source said that Trae and DJM are so on board with Snyder that everyone else on the team is looking at that and buying in as well because the team follows it leaders. 

Source said teams after the preseason are really trying to get Jalen Johnson away from us.

They look amazing to watch. The feedback i was getting all offseason looks better in action

he did. he also got into it with Snyder last season. Dre did not like criticisms about his game. In all his seasons here Dre has been literally handed a starter's role and minutes. This is the first time that is being earned.

He's really hurt. We had deals basically worked out in the summer to move him but backed off them or the other team backed off it. Dre knows about them. 

To answer the prevoius question from Jaybird, Dre's effort on defense was questioned by Snyder as his offensive mindset to just dribble the ball without shooting or driving. Quin can't stand that. Ball movement is mandatory in his offense. That kind of isolation thinking is just not at all what we want from any player on the team. So when that was brought up it was a little testy between the two but it never got to the "he's gotta go" stage. 

The team wants Dre to earn his starter role and minutes and buy into the system. From what I've heard Dre over the summer started to buy in to it. When you are almost traded and very much still up for trade it has a way of making you realize a coach "hating" on your game might be just honest criticism.

Travis worshipped the ground Dre walked on and Dre knew it. Without Travis here he has no safety blanket.
