Don't some of you dare bail out on the Hawks now.

You play in the playoffs for this situation. We took the Home court, and held it last weekend. They still have to win a game on our floor, something they have done only 1 time in 4 tries this year.

And as for the law of averages . . do you know that the Illusion ( I'm calling the Magic, the Illusion, from now on ) have only shot over 40% from 3 point range in ONE GAME vs the Hawks this year?

ONE GAME . . last night.

In the previous 8 games, that team has shot horribly from the outside, and we've won 5 out of 8 of those games. So which is the REAL MAGIC TEAM? The team that finally found their shot last night? OR the team that has been shooting bricks against us all season?

Yeah . . the Hawks had their usual WTF type game. But this team has been bouncing back from those types of games all year. So until they can prove that they can do it again, I don't believe that the Illusion can get it done.

The 1st round trend of the Hawks when faced with an elimination game on their home court, is to BLOW THE OTHER TEAM OUT. We did it to Miami in 09, and we did it to Milwaukee last year. Let's add the Illusion to that list.

I was definitely slipping toward apathy after the loss last night, which I sadly felt coming from a mile away. But that Sentinel "Birdbrains" column got my blood boiling.

we've won all of our elimination games at home in first round with this team; we beat boston in atlanta when facing elimination and miami and then bucks

Im behind them 100% . I really want them to put it to them good though. I put this loss on LD simply not being able to push the right buttons last night pregame because I guarantee you that many of us here wouldve known exactly what to say to get them focused.

We all know this team's weaknesses, but it's FAN TIME. I've got plenty of gripes about game 5 and plenty of concerns for game 6.

I am still a fan of that "Rise Up" campaign. This is crunch time and we have them right where we wanted them coming into the series, at our place with a chance to win the series. Seize the day, Hawks. Rise up, Atlanta!

Would have LOVED for the Hawks to clown ORL in Game 5 on their home court to stun the world and take the series, but I wasn't surprised they couldn't pull off the large feat...just surprised they got beat like a drum.

That was then, this is now. The Hawks just losT Round 5 of a 7 round fight. We didn't get KO'd, we just got knocked in the mouth on our way to the floor. Will we get off the mat and take them down for the early KO? Hope so. Either way, me, Hawksquawk, and all of Philips (sans the hermaphrodite ORL fans) will be behind them!

I don't want the Hawks just to win game six. I want us to blow those cocky sons of bitches out.
