Admin capstone21 Posted June 19, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 With the next pick in the draft...Capstone's Crew selects Rudy Gay 25 years old. I consider a steal here. Rudy has been on the cusp of being an all star for a few years now. Rudy is a very well rounded and atheletic player who can score from many different places on the floor. A very underrated defender, Rudy also is an excellent rebounder at his position as well. Lining him up with Chris Paul will be the final shot to turn him into the superstar that he has the potential to be. AHF you are on the clock

Moderators AHF Posted June 19, 2012 Author Moderators Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 With the 37th pick of the draft, the U-Niques select: Andre Iguodala This 28 year old All-Star wing is a complimentary scorer (career 15 ppg) and solid passer. His real impact, however, is on the defensive side of the ball. Last year, he stifled his opponents to the tune of an astounding 8.7 PER. His secondary stats are consistently outstanding in the range of 6 rpg, 2 apg, 1.5 spg, and 1 bpg. On a team with Parker and Howard, he won't be asked to do too much on offense, but he is very effective taking the ball to the hole and we will enjoy the improvements in his perimeter game: his shot has improved to the point where he was a more accurate 3pt shooter than either Rudy Gay or Joe Johnson over the last two seasons. The Hawks shouldn't have passed on Iggy when they had the chance, and we won't now. Welcome aboard, Iggy! PG: Tony Parker SG: SF: Andre Iguodala PF: C: Dwight Howard

Moderators AHF Posted June 19, 2012 Author Moderators Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 It was between Iggy and Rudy Gay for me when I was trying to make my choice. There isn't much of a gap for sure. Gay has a little more O, Iggy a little more D. Gay is a little younger. A pretty slight difference.

A pretty slight difference.Actually I feel like Iggy is a typical "Pippenesque" point forward who can defend and pass, while Rudy is a better scorer. They are two completely different players, but I feel like Iggy is the better player as a third option at this point.

Supporter
I kind of agree... Gay has a chance to be a star but Iggy is a better chemistry playerI like Rudy for your team since CP3 can max out his scoring potential. CP3 would go wild with a true low post player like big AL and a scorer like Rudy.

Premium Member Diesel Posted June 19, 2012 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 The Atlanta Ganstaslappas select: Marcin Gortat. THE POLISH HAMMER. He is 4th in Double doubles. He is a 10/15 player. He shoots a bone chilling 55% from the field. He creates 1.5 blocks per game. My team - Lawson = PG Love = PF Gortat = C. We will own 2nd shot opportunities. You may get a shot off but you won't get a rebound.
Admin
A year ago I would have laughed at Gortat being taken this high but he really turned into a heck of a player this year. Excellent front court you've got working there D.

I guess he was picked based on potential last year as he really didn't blossom until this year... although he did have some good moments with Phoenix his 1st year there. Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted June 19, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) I really was conflicted on where I should go here. I have offense and need defense, but with all of the top young PF/C's already gone (I was looking at Monroe, Bosh, and Jefferson at this pick) I decided to fill my need at shooting guard. So, without further ado, with the 4oth pick in the 2012 Hawksquawk Summer Dynasty Draft, PSSSHHHRRR87's Birds of a Feather select: Demar DeRozan, G/F Good on the offensive end and has a strong commitment to defense. The guy literally preaches defense and work ethic. A great on-ball defender with tremendous lateral quickness and has the ability to guard anyone 1-4. I may be selecting him a little high in the draft, especially since I am in need of a PF/C, but I'd hate to miss out on him. C - ????? PF - ????? SF - Carmelo Anthony SG - Demar DeRozan PG - Deron Williams Edited June 19, 2012 by PSSSHHHRRR87
