There would be serious hurdles to this sort of deal, but the Rockets may be able to get it done if they could convince Smith's former team, the Atlanta Hawks, to take part in a sign-and-trade that would clear the necessary salary cap space to sign both players.

So maybe the report from the random Twitter account could be real... Wouldn't mind getting someone like Asik back from the Rockets. Dude is a rebounding machine which is what we've need for years.

I feel we would take Asik... Not too sure we would want the Linsanity but I think he would be a good fit. There a re a TON of asians in the area. It would be clever marketing... They always show up in multitudes to support players from their race. Should've seen it when the Dodgers were here and Ryu was pitching. It was 50% Asian.

Harden coming? Because that is a big part of why Houston is attractive for Dwight it would seem.

Rockets should give us Asik, Jones, and a 1st for Smith in a sign and trade if Howard says no to us.

I think the Hawks should just start to get themselves ready for 2014, both draft and free agency. If Dwight and/or Smoove don't want to be here, let them go to Houston and be done with it.

The going price for a Josh SNT FOR HOUSTON is Asik and Chandler. If you must add in a Lin, we'd take him but Asik and Chandler are non-negotiable.

Here's the bottom line, we don't have to do anything that Smoove or Houston Wants us to do without getting what we want. If they want Smoove that bad, then they can offer him the MLE and see if he takes it... Otherwise they have to pay the piper. We spent the last 8 years cultivating Smoove. The cost for Houston therefore is ASIK and CHANDLER.

Yeah, Asik is not better than Josh and would eat up too much cap space and hurt the chances of landing a top pick to boot.
