GameTime
Personally I love it. Per 36: 12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks per game 15 PER One year deal.
ATLHawks3
This isn't good for Mike Scott.
GameTime
I'm also not sure about this. Where does he fit in? Is he just a trade piece for a deadline deal this year? We need a center, not another PF. He's been playing C the last two years. Ferry's own words: Skill over height.
Buzzard
As long as it ain't Zaza's replacement I'm down with it! Especially with the one year deal. And is Ferry a smooth criminal or what? Whether we like these deals or not, you don't hear a whiff from the insiders about it until it's a done deal. ~lw3Brands rebounding percentages are right there with Al. This is a solid pickup for a bench player. I am really liking how we are getting true post players vs what we had last season. We should be able to bang around the post with the usual suspects for a full game now and man, if we could get one more wing this would be a seriously awesome off season all things considered.

frankthetank966
Is this a joke? Elton Brand and resigning Teague for $8mm. What a terrible off season.

Premium Member sturt Posted July 15, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 So, Ferry let ZaZa go to a sign a washed up has been? I'm not a fan of the move, but I also wouldn't have been a fan of ZaZa at the number MIL gave him... EB likely... God help us... would be here for significantly less. Brotha2ThaNite
I don't think I can ever get used to this trend in the NBA where these centers are getting smaller.
benhillboy
If he stays healthy he's valuable to any NBA team. He's basically a played-coach for our younger Bigs.
Premium Member Sothron Posted July 15, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 On a personal level, these signings are going to make my Hawks NBA 2k14 franchise tougher to trade. The only players on our current roster I plan on keeping are Horford, German Sensation, Sweet Lou and Bebe if he makes the roster. All these stiffs like Teague, Korver,Millsap and now the corpse of Elton Brand will be traded for draft picks.

Popular Post GameTime
Is Elton Brand A Candidate For Defensive Player Of The Year?http://www.libertyballers.com/2012/4/8/2934074/elton-brand-defense-philadelphia-76ers-nba Synergy Sports Technology, a video tracking service provided to NBA teams, tracks every possession of every game played in the NBA and slices each game into play types. One of the plays Synergy tracks is the post-up; it analyzes how many points a player allows in those situations. So where does Brand rank in points allowed on post-up plays? First. Nobody is better this season. Not Howard. Not Andrew Bynum. Not Kevin Garnett. Edited July 15, 2013 by GameTime
ATLHawks3
I hope he can serve as a mentor to Al, teach him how to have a good post game i guess
swolehawk2
Ferry looking out for a fellow Dukie. But seriously, how sad is this, Brand would probably be the best post scorer we have had on our bench in quite awhile.
