Me too.  That is what is he was supposed to be - a solid backup center.  This will be the first post-season of his career that he misses out on completely.  Rough for us.

Wow, Splitter out pretty much puts a wrap on the Hawks having any chance at a somewhat successful postseason.

This year is a wash, we can release him next season and use the stretch provision,  so his cap hit would be $2 mil in lieu of $8 mil.
