So... Just RIP to this emblematic person of the NBA.

I was fortunate enough to have spent time with him on several occasions when I was with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Atlanta.  He would come to some of our events and sign autographs and speak with the kids.  

He was always the most accommodating of all the celebrities and athletes.  A truly genuine guy.

He was the greatest at interviewing the first rounders right after they had been drafted. Made it very personal with Moms, Dads and anyone else involved so very often.

And to think that he JUST got inducted to the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame 2 nights ago, but couldn't attend.

 

RIP Sager.  You were the NBA sideline reporter we all grew up with.
