Yeah, count me as skeptical that we can take that quote at face value. I always want to err on the side of presuming honesty, so I won't go so far as to say "that didn't happen," but the sniff test says Plumlee's name was mentioned in a call. Mentioned. Not in the context of "how can we pry that guy away from you," but more probably something like, "you took Plumlee, so we thought maybe you'd consider taking Noah too."

No disrespect Grimey... but even if a team was trying to reach the floor.. they wouldn't take on all those years for a guy who barely plays and averages 2.5/2

So this whole time, Schlenk thought were were getting Mason Plumlee and not Miles.

Schlenk talking to his assistant Schmedley:    

Schlenk:  Schmedley.. for my first action as GM I have to make a big splash and create some flexibility.

Schmedley:  Yes Sir Boss.. but why do you need Flexibility?

Schlenk:  You ninny... every team needs flexibility.  We don't want to be over the cap when free agents are available. 

Schmedley:  That sounds good but no good free agents ever want to come to Atlanta.  Remember what Zaza said about getting players to come here.

Cho:  Busy.  Getting ready for the draft.

Schlenk:  Have you considered a Dwight Howard trade.   You guys need a rim protector.

Cho:  I can get you Bellinelli and a 2nd.

Schlenk:  You're going to have to come a little better than That.  I thought you were Trader Cho?

Cho:  What do you think about me adding M. Plumlee.

Schlenk:  Hold on.

Thought he Placed Cho on Mute.  Starts typing on the Macbook Pro.

Schlenk to Schmedley:  Can you believe this.  It says that Mason Plumlee is as good as Dwight is now.  If This guy is crazy enough to give us Mason Plumlee, then I will take him and show him who is the real trader here. 

Schmedley:  But Boss... Cho is on the phone.

Schlenk:  Yeah.. I put him on Mute... the sucker.

Schmedley: But You didn't....

Schlenk; (Interrupting):  Be quiet Schmedley... I'm about to make History on my first week on the job.

Schlenk.. picks the phone back up.  Cho is heated. 

Schlenk:  So you say Plumlee, Belli, and a 2nd for Dwight... that's a done deal.

Cho:  Wait...  I can't give you all of that for Dwight.  How about Dwight and your first round pick.

Schlenk:  Well.....

Schmedley:  Don't do it boss. 

Schlenk:  Quiet Schmedley.  I'm thinking.

Cho:  Ok. Ok.... You're twisting my arm... How about we just swap 2nd rounders... but You're getting the best of this deal.

Schlenk:  Deal...  (to Schmedley):  Call Dwight's agent and tell him that he's been traded. 

Cho:  Atlanta has themself one fine GM.  You are really good... so I'm sending the paperwork now.

Schlenk:  I just got it on my Macbook and there... I have signed it electronically.  Good doing business with you!!!
