Top 10 players in the NBA

1) Kobe Bryant

2) LeBron James

3) Tim Duncan

4) Dwayne Wade

5) Dirk Nowitzki

6) Allen Iverson

7) Elton Brand

8) Steve Nash

9) Carmelo Anthony

10) Shaquille O'Neal

I am curious... How many of these players made it past the first round of the playoffs? Yet, Kobe Bryant is 1st on the list. Yeah, he is pretty good. I wouldn't put him first though since basketball is a TEAM sport.

Maybe I am just jaded or not impressed with Kobe that much then. I know a lot of people like him and I never have. I really am probably the crazy one.

Dwight and JJ are not in there. Gilbert>> Melo, I don't see Melo being a top 10 player. I'd put Gilbert, KG, JO, T-Mac (even injured), possibly even Vince over those 3..

If I want two players to shoot the ball to the complete detriment of my team and have egos the size of small states then I would put Kobe and Iverson atop a list. That would be the only way they would make top ten lists from me.

Remember, before the injury, he was 26 ppg, 9 rpg player. I will admit that some of his points were due to swelling (being that he played in a good system with such a good PG)... if you doubt, watch Diaw lately. I was very tempted to put Marion in at 14... but you really can't slight Pierce and Gasol.
