Dejay
I was for signing Varejao but after seeing him the other night, well, I might have overstated his abilities a bit. While I'm not the biggest fan of his, if he brings some rebounding to this team, mission accomplished...
gsuteke
Is this the same guy that got a big contract with the Nets and was dating a Kardashian?

He was married to Kim for 72 days. Kris sued her after the divorce and they settled out of court. The marriage is thought to have been a publicity stunt for the TV show except nobody let Kris in on the plan.

He was a decent player until he met Kim. Never quite the same after.

Moderators macdaddy Posted February 29, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted February 29, 2016 I always liked the guy and he's certainly more physical than any big we have. I think he'll do well here.
Admin
Just glad we have rebounder on the bench ... A big need answered Really? How many rebounding opportunities have been lost to the Hawks bench? They seem like they've got pretty quick hands over there. Humphries is: 1) younger 2) less injury prone 3) better shooter 4) better rebounder 5) much better FT shooter 6) better shot blocker

Dejay
How can you laugh and nearly throw up at the same time? That's what I nearly did while thinking of Marvin taking the ball to the basket back in those days...

He's got basketball smarts with limited physique. He will be a coach one day so this was a smart pickup... Good points, especially getting under people's skin. We lost some of that with the loss of Zaza then Pero. What makes you think he's going into coaching, though? That's a topic that fascinates me with current players. I would guess all these guys would go immediately into a leadership role after playing: Draymond Steph Jamal Crawford Iggy Manu Calderon Garnett Jared Dudley Tony Allen Kyle Captain Kirk

Moderators AHF Posted February 29, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted February 29, 2016 See how I managed to avoid crushing that young woman? Marvin wouldn't have had that kind of body control back in the day.

Moderators AHF Posted February 29, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted February 29, 2016 On Humphries, I am glad to see us pick up someone who can rebound the ball for our bench. The fact that he can shoot from the perimeter makes me more confident he will actually get playing time as well. Interested to see what he brings. Agree with the post earlier that he has a 'punchable face.'
