Buzzard
I am not sure we will do anything. I don't think late 2nd round picks hold any interest for Travis; so it would not surprise me to see Dedmon still here. Bazemore's salary is so high just moving the money around is a problem; plus the other team has to really be committed to him. Bottom line: I am guessing Travis probably values his expiring contracts more than picking up late 2nds.

Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted February 6, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted February 6, 2018 And hopefully they don't take any offers unless it's draft picks in 2019 with expiring deal.

Moderators AHF Posted February 6, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted February 6, 2018 Quote Atlanta HawksThe Hawks, under the leadership of first-year GM Travis Schlenk, have made everyone available, several rival team executives said. As Atlanta rebuilds, Schlenk — who shed Dwight Howard’s contract this summer and let Paul Millsap walk — has been seeking expiring contracts and draft picks in deals. Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova, veteran, floor-spacing players, have generated interest, as has second-year swingman Taurean Prince. Dennis Schröder is available, but the three-years and $46.5 million remaining on Schröder’s deal coupled with a string of maturity issues have made interest minimal. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba-trade-deadline-primer-plenty-teams-appear-ready-make-moves-180159428.html
Premium Member Peoriabird Posted February 6, 2018 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 6, 2018 A few Nuggets for you tank fans! Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk said he’s open to trades that net the team draft picks or young NBA prospects. However, he said he doesn’t feel pressure to make a deal before Thursday’s deadline because the Hawks already have accumulated multiple draft picks and have few burdensome contracts on the books. Teams also reportedly have inquired about Hawks veteran wing Kent Bazemore, a defensive specialist who is having a career-best season shooting 3-pointers. But Schlenk said Bazemore is a valuable player for the Hawks during their rebuild because of his leadership. “The tricky part of going through this is you still want to have a culture of winning,” Schlenk said. “I give the coaches and players a lot of credit. We show up every night. We are not winning a lot of games but you can’t just show up and get a win (against the Hawks). Our guys compete every night.”

I'm saying that he isn't worth the pick but even moreso that he and IT might be the worst backcourt defensive combo in recent NBA history. Hard to see it as a match.

I think they would give us IT if we traded them Schröder. Plus we also have Dedmon and Bazemore that would be intriguing options for them.

One player I don't want is IT with the exception of letting him walk at the end of the season.
