Revisiting D8....

Lots of people still try to say that Dwight was a lockerroom cancer, etc etc.  When in all actuality, he had a great statistical year and the true problem was Dennis.   This whole offseason has been dedicated to replacing Dennis.  From Picking Trae over Doncic.  From trading for 15 Million dollars of Lin.   From Looking to trade Dennis and then Buyout Melo.

This morning, I heard one pundit say that picking Dennis over Teague was the biggest mistake that the 60 win Hawk team could have made.

He also said that Dennis reads like Career Backup.

For years, Hawkssquawkers have been closing their eyes and making excuses for Goldie.  Well, now is the time to get Goldie on up outta here.

Both players are issues.  Dwight was traded by Charlotte because of his locker room presence.  Dennis famously had a spat with Dirk Nowitzki of all people on the German National Team.  Both players are locker room issues.

You can't blame Dwight's issues on Dennis when Dwight had issues in LA, Houston, Atlanta, and now Charlotte.

In the end D8 was his own problem for us and think about it, he has been on three different teams in about one month now. Says plenty right there. Not disagreeing so much about Dennis here but the title of the thread is Revisiting D8. Really wouldn't connect the two at this point because they are different cans of worms. Are you sure you don't want to change the title of this thread?

I am sure you can blame Harden and Kemba for Dwights problems too. Once might be a personality clash. Three different teams wanting you gone, I would call that a trend.

Dwight's trades was both a money move and a move to clear the boards for Charlotte under their new GM.  That's new GM protocol.  Making the trade saved Charlotte 7 Million dollars under this years Cap and a 2nd round pick.  If it were not about the cap, they could have just bought him out instead of bringing in a guy who has 2 years on his deal.

Back to Dennis....  Dennis has been a problem with every player we have had namely because of his selfishness.   How Selfish are you when you won't pass to your allstar PF or your HOF big man??

Back to Dwight...  Dwight has been a problem on every team, so says his past teammates.

Fixed it for ya :hi:.

There is no getting around Dwight and his issues regardless of Dennis. So you can rry to pawn it all of on Dennis but no one is buying what you are selling.

Your topic title is about D8 not D17. So back on topic and D8, He has been unwanted on three teams he played at least a full season for. As I said earlier, your stance would also insist that this was a Harden and Kemba issue and not a D8/12 issue,

I am not buying.

Comedy.

If the D8 fans were anywhere near correct, why is it that Dwight can never stay anywhere and keeps getting moved? The Dwight stans just aren't going to learn until he's been passed along half the league.

Why can Dennis not even get you a bag of chips in a trade?

Bad shooting and bad defense last year.  Bad reputation for attitude.  Potential felony charges.  Contact that is currently paying more than his free market value.  Compromised leverage in negotiations when you clearly drafted the guy who will displace him.

That doesn’t add up to a big draw.
