Premium Member Popular Post hawkman Posted February 10, 2020 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted February 10, 2020 Collins has been an absolute monster the last 10 games or so. For all the talk about packaging him in a deal for KAT, he's practically giving us what KAT would have at a fraction of the price. Sometimes we critique these guys as if they are finished products but It looks like 20ppg and 10rpg may actually be John's floor. What's so frustrating about that is the "Big 3" has looked really good together lately. Makes me wonder what this season could have been without the suspensions, injuries, and bad signings.

So he isn't a center! Duhhh! Get an enforcer to play along side of him. Isn't that the simple solution?
Popular Post Buzzard
The grass is always greener on the other side and some people will never be satisfied. Collins is a valid 2nd option. He and Trae have a solid connection that very few duo's have and if not for the suspension, he would probably be our 2nd all star. Period end of story. 3

Washington who has 19 wins is three games out of the eigth seed. Maybe the season isn't over just yet. 5
Premium Member Popular Post Peoriabird Posted February 10, 2020 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted February 10, 2020 Posters want to pretend that Millsap never got his azz handed to him while guarding a non all star like Makieff Morris. Well that happened plenty of times and Millsap wasn't even the offensive player John is right now when he was with the Hawks. 1

I'm sure someone called him soft in the Knicks game thread. Besides, John still hasn't gotten his man strength yet. He's still growing into his body.
Gray Mule
Randle, doing his King James impersonation, tried, and, for the most part, successfully made all the Hawks look kinda week. I don't know if anyone else noticed. Dead man walking helped and, Capela, when he gets to play, will shore up our weakest spot.

Point is playing style and strategy has a lot more to do with it than just personnel. Collins's game is rebounds and attacking the basket, so he's gonna take a beating. Schlenk traded for Capela and Ded, so that should limit the abuse that Collins takes, but the man will have to deal with Randle-types at PF and needs to beef up or have a short career. 1 hour ago, JayBirdHawk said: I'm sure someone called him soft in the Knicks game thread. Some people have high metabolisms and are built to be lean. No matter how hard my bro tries to gain weight, he loses it just as quickly.

Moderators macdaddy Posted February 10, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted February 10, 2020 I will say Collins looks a little skinnier than at the start of the season. I don't know if it's related to his supplements or not. All i do know is he's absolutely ballin out there and should keep doing whatever he's doing now.

Thought JC looked skinner to start this season than he did the end of last season really. Was surprised then and of course even more surprised a couple of weeks later. 1
Popular Post Dejay
I really don't know, folks. It takes a set of brass ones to complain about a guy getting 21/10 every night. And he's only scratching the surface in terms of his ability, much less when he gets some real help in the block with Capela and Dedmon getting their sea legs under them. Think it through, boys and girls. How many other Hawk players in their Atlanta existence (you're not pulling the Bob Pettit card here) have hung up such numbers on a consistent basis? I think Willis did it in rebounding but not points; same with Deke, Horford and Roundfield. John Drew had similar numbers when he started out and Moses did it his first couple of years here. I've watched this team for well over 40 years and it took me pulling up numbers just to come up with those. Is he Karl Malone or Dirk? No, not yet. But there aren't too many power forwards in the game I'm taking over him other than the usual suspects right now (Giannis, Anthony Davis)...
