What is going on with 7-footers in Utah on bicycles? No vehicles involved on this one. But, ugh.

The center spent his entire career with the Jazz, led the league in blocks per game four times and his average of 5.6 per contest in 1984-85 remains the highest average since the NBA started officially tracking that statistic.

Eaton's death came days after he was in Chicago to be part of the celebration for his friend Joe West, who broke baseball's umpiring record by working his 5,376th regular-season game on Tuesday night.

Oh man, mountain 🏔 man Mark, he used to block everything in sight. They even tried to make a blueprint of him for many years after that in Utah, one version was Ostertag, a far cry from this man. RIP 🪦 sir. I think a lot of big men in history don’t get their due, they get dunked on a lot but what about the number of shots they block? 🪦

If I remember the story correctly he was a Mercedes mechanic and then become that shot blocking phenom they had to have back then. Not exactly rags to riches but then maybe it is and is still amazing what he did to the paint back then. The Grim and Reaper of shots in the paint. Pretty wild. RIP Mark.
