Based off of what? Not saying he isnt. Just sayin what makes yall think he's this guaranteed future All Star?

Exactly. I'm excited about AJ, but if I only have to trade one of him, JJ, and OO for someone that's already a star, it's an easy decision. Make the damn move.

I suggest you deep dive into things. AJ had a top tier rookie season on Per 36.

Also, note his 2p%, FT %, AJ's turnover rate for a ROOKIE.

For example, please review these players...

If it wasn’t for our on court regression the past 2 seasons, I would be a part of the run it back bandwagon.

But after finishing .500 and trading JC, I just don’t see a way we can go in to the season without adding some kind of talent to the roster. Doesn’t even have to mean Siakam or KAT, but there has to be some kind of talent improvement if we are serious about being better next season.

If the argument is that Quinn and our young talent will develop and we will improve as a result, then I point back to the JC trade. No need to make that move if you want to let things to grow organically.

Im okay with clearing space to add and get better, not clearing space just to dodge tax.

Addition by subtraction is a possibility.

If you get better production in those minutes John played, you get a different outcome. We have players capable of that because John set the bar low after last season's performance

I think this kind of mindset is sometimes a cope. Even if OO would be better as the starting PF, you've lost his production off the bench. The best bench player up front is JJ? Who hasn't done anything yet. Doing nothing for the rest of the offseason looks bad.

it's only based off the view while wearing extreme homer glasses.  There has been nothing yet to suggest that AJ is on his way to being an all star.    He hasn't even proven that he's on his way to being a starter in the NBA yet.

His shooting percentage and patience is pretty good for somebody that's 19.   A lot will depend on what he does with this season.

So Steve Koonin confirms what we were telling you on here for sometime about trades we were/are close to making. I legit thought last weekend KAT would be announced. I still think there's a chance it happens just now the timeline is pushed back to Sept.

They said what we've been saying....money....they fell through due to money.

Would you expound on this a bit?

I'm thinking they aren't interested in paying Siakam a full max deal starting at $47.7 mil and also not the maximum number of years. Probably wants to give him a 2yr extension.

Toronto doesn't seem to want to give him a max either. He passed on 3yr/$1×5 mill last offseason.

I wanted that Duke center they drafted last summer.  That's the only player that they have that I know anything about.  If they don't want to pay this player, why should we?

Correct— So why would it be any different in Atlanta?

Not advocating for the Hawks to sign him.

But Sometimes, it's based on wether teams are in a win now window that can use a player vs the HorCats that are rebuilding.
