How about Pat Riley?

Some people would say great coaches... all star coaches.. However, if we use the same ruler that you want to measure with, I would say that these are not good coaches... When they don't have the best players in the game, they fail.

atleast most of those guys started with that team,except Shaq. Woody needs other coaches to develop guys for him, he can't/doesn't develop his own players.

One thing for sure is that Woodson must be a good salesman because he has Management, the media, and even some fan believing in a number of things such as

1) Iso Joe is a real offense

2) Acie Law can't run an offense but Flip Murray can

3) Two rebounders on the floor at the same time is one too many

4) Only two players should touch the ball on most offensive possessions

5) Josh Smith is not only a point guard but a 3 point specialist also

6) Josh Childress is the best defender on the team with Joe being a close second

7) Al Horford is Moses Malone

8) Zaza is a post player

9) Good defense is defined as the opposing team's point guard living in your painted area

10) The team shouldn't push the ball more because they are better in the half court

11) Solomon Jones and Horford don't belong on the court together

12) Mike Bibby is a point guard and so is flip Murray

13) Shooting contested jump shots are high percentage shots therefore encouraged

14) Driving the lane and drawing fouls is illegal

15) Giving rest to your starters during a game is not a good idea

16) The NBA only allows 5 fouls now therefore players with 2 fouls can't play again until the 3rd quarter

17) The point guard's responsibilities are the bring the ball up and pass it to Joe in the high post or just shoot it with 22 seconds left on the shot clock.

I'm pretty sure others can add to this list but its a start.

Why would you say that? Do you know how many assistant coaches we have gone through? Those guys haven't been the ones doing the "developing". IF so, when they left, we would have been left with no more progression.

Woody's flaw is offensive gameplanning and not listening to Assistants.. but that's about it.

True we started 10-6. That's where we STARTED the season. We're only 5 games over .500. If we were in the West, we wouldn't be a 4th seed. . we wouldn't be going to the playoffs at all. I have him a 4 for the following reasons:

1) He is a good defensive coach

2) He started our boys off good this year

But. . . .

3) Our good start is being overshadowed by poor play down the stretch

4) His non-existent offensive scheme

5) Road wins. . . . remember those? It's be nice to see a coach who can motivate out team on the road too.

6) Better players get most of the credit for our better record. When we had a weaker roster, we had a horrid record. Where was the 8 or 9 rated Woody then?

Best way to settle this? Easy. Hire a new coach and see what happens when we use an offensive scheme for a change. =D

Look at the scale on this poll. For some reason, the worst coach in the NBA ranks a 6 on the poll - above d-league level. The scale is a big reason for the messed up numbers you see.
