Prayers for all involved in the accident and their friends and families. Mookie now in stable condition thank God!

...and a hearty congrats to our first responders. They deserve praise for wading into these terrible situations and saving lives. Whatever the eventual outcome (hopefully good for all) - they gave these folks a chance.

By Friday evening, Blaylock’s condition had improved and he was in stable condition, Allen said. Blaylock has been under treatment for seizures, a family member told police. It was not immediately known if that contributed to the wreck or if Blaylock would face charges. Monica Murphy, a passenger in the second vehicle, was bleeding internally and underwent surgery, Allen said. She was reportedly in critical condition late Friday. Frankie Murphy’s injuries were not serious, according to police. Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Terribly sorry to hear that Monica Murphy (passenger in the other vehicle) passed away. AJC just updated the article.

Oh God that's very sad, especially since the other passenger didn't have any serious injuries and were they husband and wife or another kind of relative? I hope she didn't leave any kids behind. Prayers for her family though.

Article updated to note one of the other persons' death. "Allen" is the surname of Jonesboro's police chief. Condolences to the Murphy family.

All three were transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where Blaylock was flown and was on life support and unresponsive Friday afternoon, Allen said. Monica Murphy, 40, died Friday evening at the hospital, Allen said.

Blaylock’s condition improved late Friday and he was removed from life support, but he remained in guarded, but critical condition, Allen said.

Blaylock has been under treatment for seizures, a family member told police. It was not immediately known if that contributed to the wreck.

Monica Murphy was a passenger in the second vehicle and underwent surgery, Allen said. Frankie Murphy’s injuries were not serious, according to police.

Jonesboro officers were at the hospital Friday evening with the victims, while other officers remained at the crash scene, Allen said. Allen asked for a Georgia State Patrol reconstruction team to assist with the investigation.

According to Allen, Blaylock had an outstanding warrant out of Spalding County on DUI and drug charges for failing to appear in court. Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor in the Friday wreck.

This is all very sad, I hope everyone gets sufficient medical condition. It is doubly sad that this had to happen to a great former Hawk.
