Yes, well this means we will have a open competition for starting PG this year between he and Denise the Menace.

Teague has performed well as the starting PG and has only improved from season to season. So I guess that answers the question about if we are tanking next season or not. If Teague does return and we add any mediocre SF FA we will make the playoffs next year in the awful East. I'm ok with staying competitive. Guys like Pek and Evans I could see as pieces to a rebuild also. Iggy and Jefferson not so much. I've been on the Pek bandwagon all season. I'd honestly rather have him than Dwight from a specifically bball standpoint. But I do understand all of the other perks landing a Dwight would have as well. But Pek for 12 vs. Dwight for 18 is def not an easy decision from a bball standpoint.

Are you kidding me....Teague will absolutely be our point guard next year....depending how well Schröder comes along. In fact he would make a great trade chip in Feb at the very least

I heard the Celts are willing to move Rondo but only if they can dump contracts with him. I see us matching/re-signing Teague to a 4-year deal. Keep him for another year or two until Dennis is ready. Then trade Teague and get something back for him.

A QO means he is prepared to bring him back even if no one else offers him anything.

I would be shocked if we don't match a reasonable offer for Teague.I can't see Ferry depending on a 19 year old to be our starting PG. Teague is a nice poker chip to have. Edited June 30, 2013 by coachx

We didn't have a birthday thread for Teague 3 weeks ago did we? Anyway, I'm with bringing him back. At only 25, his best ball is around the corner. If he makes a stride as big as he did last season, he'll be All-Star considerable. He's proven to be extremely durable, and at 15 and 7 shooting 88 from the line, a couple more points, another dime, round the steals off to two, we'll be fine. I actually think the two different PGs will push each other considerably to improve their weaknesses: Teague had to learn how to be stronger with the ball in traffic, that's Schröder's biggest weakness. Conversely, Shro' is clearly a more natural distributor out of PNR than Teague, so hopefully he can pick up on the vision, decisiveness, and patience of the kid. It's perfect timing with Al entering his prime, let alone Ivan and Scott.

QOs can be rescinded. He is not bound by the QO.
