AUhawksfan
It's been a slow process but I went from expecting 17 and 8 from Teague on 45% shooting to expecting 10 and 5 on maybe 33% shooting.... He started good this season but has seemed to have gotten in a long term funk I don't know if he can get out of. I only say that because I don't know if he has the mental strength to push through it. He honestly looks like he's just going through the motions at this point just hoping to make 1 of 3 baskets if he's lucky. This guy is so inconsistent as a competitor. I saw some fire earlier in the season but it has waned way too much and I don't think he is expecting much from himself and the staff is pushing him to light that fire. Pick it up Teague!!!!!

AUhawksfan
Yeah I tried to keep my expectations low with a good start but I was expecting some sort of pick up by now.

Plainview1981
It's pathetic watching him suck while the role players that were signed on the cheap (Like Carroll) is trying to carry the offense now.

JTB
Man I was one of the posters on here bragging about Teague before the season and saying he can average 18 and 8 but goodness he's far from avg that as he can barely put up 12 consistent points and 5 assist a game.I'm a realistic poster and I can own up to my mistakes. So hawksquawk I apologize to those I argued with over Teague being a capable good player for us. But I don't think it's his skills, I still believe he has good enough skills, I just think this season is really showing how passive Teague really is.....but I knew that and still thought he could avg 18 and 8.I hope we can trade him and soon! Randy
I think its all a lot simpler than everyone thinks. The other teams have started to figure him out, and how to defend him. I blame them for doing their jobs.
Moderators macdaddy Posted February 13, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 We have no offensive weapons except for Korver getting wide open. Notice that none of our point guards are doing crap lately?

I blame them for doing their jobs. Not a good excuse....spurs have run basically the same offense and defense system for years and it's not like some new trick to the teams they play against and they continue to be successful. At some point we just have to admit that Teague does not have the mentality to compete at the highest level. But that's fine I'm just glad he got a opportunity. Edited February 13, 2014 by JTB

frankthetank966
Yes, I hate to say this, but I called this months ago: http://hawksquawk.net/community/topic/387882-the-disappearing-act-of-jeff-teague/?hl=%2Bdisappearing+%2Bact It was so evident that contract was bad. He got above market value and now Ferry is trying to trade him.
WraithSentinel
I hope we trade him this offseason. Hopefully he still has some value by the time the offseason get here. Given how he is playing Jeffrey is determine to destroy that.

willthepureshooter
Lmao! You all worst than the misguided youth in "Dazed and Confused"!! Teague is doing his best to spread the ball to some of the bums we're left with after the injuries of AL, Antić, and now Carroll.. So what do you want him to do when he can no longer play the pick and roll? Now teams are hedging him at the top of the key so he no longer has open lanes.. A couple games ago he had 13 assists but was still ridiculed by posters.. We have a top 10 point guard and you freak cases still complain.. smh.
