Dennis - What happened?

What is up with him.  Like I mentioned in another game, I can live with MOST of his missed shots but the rest of his game as also taken a nose dive.  Not running the club and dishing out assists and turning the ball over at an ungodly rate.

@rd79   @gonzo  @DS17Fanboy  can you guys offer any insight from a German source/perspective?  Is he spending too much time at his Lounge?

Didn't read any German news about it since there is A) not much media coverage and B) outside a few sources, German media has no clou about NBA basketball at all...

I have absolutely no idea what is going on.

So I can only have a few guesses

1. Simply a (hopefully short) slump
2. Since Jeff played really well lately he might be afraid of being the one who will be traded
3. Don't know if the lounge bothers him, read something about it's run by his brother, a friend and an American partner

Whatever it is, let's hope it doesn't last until playoffs. Hawks need Jeff and Dennis to play well then.

I think it's been since he carved a DS blonde streak in the back of his head...the 17 was enough...lol

He's 22 and in a slump. Teams are scouting him heavily right now. He's adjusting.

Spud2Nique is correct -- it started when he added the 'DS'. Maybe people are teasing him saying DS stands for something mean, and he can't handle it.

I hope he gets it together because our PG Position is the one position we get Superstar production from. When both players are playing well we normally get 40+ points and near 20 assists from them combined. That ladies in gentleman is a superstar. None of our other backup situations are good enough to give us that kind of production consistently, but Hump has shown promise.

Par for the course for 22 yo Schro... He has had slumps like this before, most notably in the playoffs last year. It's the reason you don't trade your All Star PG mid-season and hand him reigns.  It would be nice if he breaks out of it by the time the playoffs roll around, because we are deadly when both he and Jeff are on their game.

It's funny.  A month ago many of you were amping him up as the guy we should get rid of Teague for and make our starter.   He hit his normal end of the year slump and now we're back to the He's only 22.   Sounds like a Marvin Williams argument.

He is what he is, he's a good backup.  No need to trade Teague away for playing time for Schro.. nor should we max Schro out.  Just keep it regular and hope that he finds his game again.

Peep what Jeff said about how he approaches transition with Kyle.  Anyone have a problem with his pre-determined read or the fact he disclosed it on national TV?

Let's not turn this into a Teague vs Schröder debate because if Teague was playing the way he's playing now the 1st half of the season it wouldn't be a discussion and there wouldn't have been trade rumors. This Teague would have made the Allstar game.

We already crossed that line a long time ago. Any future threads about Teague or Schröder playing well or poorly will turn into a 'vs' debate at some point in the thread. But to answer the second part of your post, people forget that Teague was battling some pretty serious ankle issues right in that December to January time frame that coincided with his average play. He played through it (albeit poorly) and down played the seriousness of his injury in the media.
