That’s a trick question… yes I do, I mean maybe I do what’s it to ya?.. :indifferent: I’m not a negotiator I’ll be honest I’m very interested. :laugh1: I’ll be willing to overpay most likely because I’m Atlanta and I’m a farm system to teams… :sarcastic:

Players (allegedly) on tha block, want any of 'em?

Sabonis (IND)

Turner (IND)

Levert (IND)

J. Hayes (NOP)

Bagley (SAC)

Fox (SAC)

Hield (SAC)

Bamba (ORL or ROFL?)

Wood (HOU)

Gordon (HOU)

Walker (NYK)

Grant (DET)

Smart (BOS)

A few thoughts.

I would trade Gallo and filler for Sabonis so fast.

maybe take a flier on Lavert for cheap.

most of these other guys I do not want.

how fast and far has Wood fallen?  And why?

Sabonis (IND) Doesn't fit with Collins

Turner (IND) Doesn't fit with Trae, lack of PnR game

Levert (IND)  cost too much for the role we need

J. Hayes (NOP)  No

Bagley (SAC)  Hell No

Fox (SAC)  No need for starting PG

Hield (SAC) Not better than what we have

Bamba (ORL or ROFL?) No need

Wood (HOU)  not impressed

Gordon (HOU) too expensive

Walker (NYK)  hell no

Grant (DET)  Can he play SF next to Collins?  If so then I am intrigued.

Smart (BOS) too expensive to be our back up PG, but we definitely need his toughness

Who's trading Sabonis for Gallo and filler?    Gotta remember there are two teams involved in trades.

Sabonis isn't going to happy on a team being a 3rd or 4th option anyways.  The guy plays no defense and only cares about offense -- he wants to be the #1 option, not an afterthought that no one runs plays for.  We don't even run plays for JC lol no way that would work even if the Pacers did take Gallo and filler.

Jaxson Hayes

I think he'd be great in the pick and roll and can take over Gieng's third string center role.

Also, could give up OKC first (2 2nd's for him).

This is more after the season though.

Smart and Grant are the only two who make any real sense, but it's probably worth stressing that the Hawks can't afford to take on 22-23 salary without sending Bogi back in return.

So, the real question is would you trade Bogi + another asset for any of those players?

I think the answer is no.  Bogi has good chemistry with Trae and SG is a soft spot for us right now.  We'd need a true game changer at SG before we get rid of Bogi.  Cam was once thought to be that guy but I believe that sentiment is slowly fading (sadly).

It isn't just the weight but the height and frame. Larry Johnson was a freak athlete that was naturally strong and could jump through a roof. But he was the weight of a 6'9" to 6'11" NBA play condensed into a 6'7" frame. His back gave out because of the insane torque he put on it through dunking and going up for rebounds and blocks.

Zion has the same issue. He dunks so hard and moves so far (just like Grandmama) but he's probably an inch shorter than LJ but he's supposedly 330 pounds when Grandmama was 260. Unless Zion has a come to Jesus moment with his stomach and truly changes his diet and work out regimen I don't know how he'll last another three years in the league.

He just needs Mtn Dew break and he'll be straight.

every time I see that Mtn Dew commercial with him and Lavine in it I yell at Zion to switch to DIET Mtn Dew. As a diabetic I can tell you that it and Sierra Mist Zero are the two best diet sodas out there.

Gallo and filler won't get it done for Sabonis, unless by filler you mean Hunter AND Reddish, which is what I think would have to be the package to get interest.
