Jejeje, true, I should have made the long statement instead of the short one.

We need an upgrade at SG, a guy that can be a second ball handler and scorer to alleviate the pressure on Trae as Lavine and Brogdon or a clear upgrade on defense as Dort. Huerter or Bogi are not good fit and are nearly the same player.

I don't get all this love for middling guys.   Dort is not that great... he's less than Kev.  Honestly.   We just want to trade just to trade is what it sounds like.   I say we just resign Delon and platoon that SG position correctly... if we can't find a ball handling 2 who can play defense.

Dort is a really great wing defender, offensively he is really límites but I think he could be a great fit with Trae.

Dort vs Delon Wright.  Who is the better fit?

Don't forget Dort is 6'3  215 lbs and Delon is 6'5".

Let's cobble so more together.

Bogi/16 that gets us (via Detroit) Bledsoe/#7.

Offseason.. Cap 2 1st for Ayton

We would like a ball handling SG...

Let's assume that Simmons is off the board for us.

Let's assume Lavine is just a pipe dream.

I can see us shooting a deal to Oladipo and drafting something like a Sf.

Trae, Oladipo, Hunter, JC, and Ayton..

We've all the sudden become better at defense and offense.

I would like for us to pick up Wright but I know other teams are coming.

Well, if that is the case let's make the OKC trade and get Dort.

In my opinion

Trae/Dort/Hunter/JC/Ayton works beter

I haven't heard Dort name mention when possible guys to get from OKC come up. Just the same ole, same ole. Moose, Williams, Micic, and underwhelming guys who will be cut.

Dort. He can guard more positions than just PGs. Dort can guard 1-3. Offensively, Dort has to be better. He struggled from deep last year.

Um. Trying to figure out the disconnect. Are you suggesting that MJ wasn't an exceptional facilitator?

If so, that's the disconnect.

Yes, and I'm one of his biggest advocates.

Why is that.

It's because he's young and the OKC writers rave about his improvement from year to year.

It's because there's a place on a championship contending roster for a super-glue defensive wing who has given James Harden in particular all kinds of hell.... and we don't have one right now.

And it's because he's so dirt cheap, you effectively get him on a prove-it deal.

There's no downside. But that said, he's not proven enough to be the 2nd SG. He has to be the 3rd.

Why I like Dort....

Defense at SG and SF

His max extension to his current contract is 4yr/$56.

A 2way player that has improved each year.

An improving offensive player.....17.2 ppg this past season.....more than any of our wing players...let that sink in.

Is he the star SG next to Trae, no....but adding him will help get us where we need to go.

He won't average close to that with Trae

No.. MJ had 3/4 of a season where he played PG...

But ordinarily, he didn't look to facilitate...

I have been consistently telling you guys for months now that Ayton is the big man target with Gobert as the backup option. Lavine is also being courted but personally I think he's going to stay with the Bulls. All the Bulls have to do is show him the max deal he wants and he stays.
