Premium Member Sothron Posted January 12, 2012 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 12, 2012 There goes even the pipe dream of getting Howard. I'd say this is a great chance to blow up the team and stock up on a loaded draft but I know the A$G won't make that happen.

phoostal
Well so much for this season. The big problem now is ASG will not change anything. They always say they want to see what this core can do when healthy and with more experience. Now going into the off season they will do nothing since this team was not at full strength. They already have their excuse ready to go. P
Gray Mule
Well, Bull Feathers. Hawks are not a one man team but we are sure to miss the big guy. Don't give up. There is still a chance for this Hawk team to win some games. This hurts. Terribly. Will the Hawks be able to replace him on the roster with any one of value, since he is out for the duration? Zaza can't carry the burden alone. He will try. He'll do his best. We didn't have an abundance of centers on the team before this happened. Now we are very, very thin here.

Premium Member niremetal Posted January 12, 2012 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 12, 2012 The "good" news is that Al had been playing mediocre so far this year. Maybe this will give the team a collective kick in the *ss, and Zaza will bring us the 12 and 8 that he brought back when he was a full-time starter, along with the physical play that Horford has been increasingly avoiding. Buzzard
This is bad news all the way around for this season, but next year in a deep draft it could be a blessing in disguise. Al is hating this I am sure, but he will come back from this just fine. A torn pect is painful as hell which explains why he was in such agony when it happened. A big shout out to you Al, get well and come back strong!
hawkrule152
Well lets hope we can end up with atleast a 6 seed in the playoffs.. which really isnt a stretch.. Joe is just going to have to go back to old joe and get more touches inside the lane.. teague will have to step it up and come playoff time Horford will be ready to return to action! If he can be ready in 3 months we will still be alright in the playoffs and he could give us the boost we need entering the playoffs
Admin
Damn this really sucks! Let's just pray that this won't be something that will affect him beyond this year! Who was it that was just complaining about Zaza being overpaid?? This is exactly why Zaza is worth his contract, because he can come in and be a double-double player for us who while he won't play great defense, will at least play physically. Forgot to add ... get well soon big fella as we're all (or at least most of us) going to miss you!
falcsforlife
They have to trade Josh and go into tank mode at this point. They have no chance without Horford and the best course of action now is to blow it up. Josh is really at the height of his game so he should fetch a good return. The team could be better for this down the road.

BudBall
This sucks, we been fortunate the last couple years by having a mostly healthy team.
