Antawn Jamison?

Antawn has always been a professional and a solid player. With our foward situation I don't see why Ferry doesn't take a look at him. Supposedly the Bulls, Bobcats, Clippers, and Grizzles are looking at him. He certainly looks like the best option for our current problem at SF. He would be great for the young guys as well. I'm really surprised really nobody has even mentioned him. Y'all think he could still put in starting minutes or is he too old and creeky?

...too old and creeky. His regular season numbers were pretty good for a 37 year old, above average PER, but I wouldn't want to count on him at all in the playoffs. He's carved out a nice career behind his push shots that always had you wondering "how did he get that shot up that fast?" and staying in great shape.

List of guys we signed this off season that are Americans. I believe Ferry just sees the importance of having a variety of guys with different backgrounds and skillsets. Euros are known to be hard workers. Americans are known for being physical. I believe with Muscala and probably Bebe playing in Spain next season, it leaves the door open for a couple more forwards to be brought in. Is doesn't matter if they are Euro or not, if Ferry feels they fill a void and fits in the Ferry mold, then he'll try and lure them to Atlanta.

Jamison is a PF. He played 3% of the teams minutes at SF last year while playing 30% of their PF minutes. I can't remember him ever being a SF either, just a guy who can slide down there and not get killed. In fact he played twice as many minutes at C last year as he did at SF.

but he isn't in his prime anymore, and you loose mobility while aging. I would say, playing the 4 is easier for him now since he still can read a defense, is a big body and can work with positioning in the post. While he should get trouble with penetrating 3s.

I didn't say he never played it, but he was a stretch PF who could play some 3. But he's been a PF primarily throughout his career.

Ok...ill dig it up...since it was 1998 it was a real photo not digital but ill scan or take a pic of it with my iPhone. Ps I didn't know that was brother in his avatar.
