Don't like the pick. I hate as in H A T E old ass rookies in any sport. Dude is 23. I'd never draft a NBA prospect in today's NBA that was past a soph.

 

That being said, I hope the guy does well. We already know he's a high character cat with his working with that girl that died. He also has a 7'4" wingspan, he's 6'10" and has solid range as a true stretch four. If nothing else we won't have a gaping hole at the PF spot next year on the bench.

I don't think it's the end of Mike Scott. Ferry still looking long road. Unless you believe Milsap will be here long term, Payne could be our starting 4 of the future. Scott still a nice depth player.

Payne has some kinda of lung condition that impacts his stamina... apparently he has really small lungs for someone who's his size.

I watched this guy his whole career in the big 10 as I'm a Hoosier fan. He is a beast and a very good pick. Trade could be coming though

He is a good player who can shoot the ball.  We needed more size and he has that and shooting ability. I like the pick.
