Popular Post hazer
Looks like the savvy Chris Jent hiring is already paying dividends. Hawks 2nd in the NBA in 3pt%. Telling ya, this team is exciting to watch and is only 1 lottery pick and 1 trade/FA star from being back in the playoffs by 2019. With a higher ceiling eventually than 1st/2nd round exits. This team is on the right path. Edited November 16, 2017 by hazer
Moderators AHF Posted November 16, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted November 16, 2017 Timmy's 30.9% on 110 attempts (7.9/game!!) would drop our team a full 2% if he was still here and playing like that.

Popular Post benhillboy
Dedmon Walking ain’t just all about hitting em either. I’m sure it’s some sort of mastery of the notorious Pop Hammer Set. Great digging by whoever this guy is: Also I forgot about the Jent affect. Looks like it’s panning out lovely. There should be some falling back to earth for Delaney’s and Dedmon’s inflated numbers. I don’t know about Prince, that boy be feeling it in transition and spot up a la Contract Year Junkyard. Bellinelli and Babbitt could possibly both finish .400 or better being pure 3 point gunners. The best part is Collins and Bembry leaving it to their teammates and focusing solely inside the arc where they’re best. DBac
It really surprised me when they put it up there but yeah we've been knocking down our shots.
TheFuzz
Gotta learn how to defend and we'll be golden. Someone else said it, but Bellinelli, Dedmon and maybe even Babbit will have some value at the deadline. I'd try to pull one solid first or prospect between the 3 of them (Jabari Parker, anyone?). hazer
Rest assured: Hawks start winning themselves out of a Top 5 pick in January and Belli, Hey Babbit, Dedmon Walking, Illyasovavichkovchev, etc will all be dangled.

Too much of a threat to shoot them right out of a Top 5 pick. Since they're already doing this thang, need to do it right Edited November 17, 2017 by hazer
hazer
The snipership continues: shot 38% from deep against the league’s most tenacious D, even with Belli’s 0-4. Jent!
Thomas
Pretty much shows that not all players have to be major athletes in Bud's system but he does want them to be able to hit from range to get on the floor as a starter or role player. Need all kinds of eggs to make a team but Bud does indeed want all of them to have a jumper. So with that expect Collins to be hitting at least from fifteen to eighteen feet fairly consistently by the start of next season. Dedmon may be one of the best quick studies of the school of Bud. Already able to hit threes and not sure he could even spell that word before he got here.
Popular Post ATLSmith
Thats an impressive stat. The Hawks offence has been really good this year. Need to step it up on defense though.

Thomas
We are giving up just over five points more a game than we score (108.2 given up). Near or at the bottom 20% of the league. That 108.2 would be a bad number over the course of a season for anyone so its kinda a surprise to me because defense is what I thought we would be best at or more consistent at anyway coming into this season. We are averaging 102.8 points scoring a game and wasn't sure we would break 90 or so points consistently. So its been interesting and surprising. Still entertaining and don't think we're a million miles from a winning season in our future because most games have been pretty tight so far.

We allow the most good looks from 3, kinda bad time in the league’s history to do so. The only 2 consistent, efficient rotation guys we have are Deadman and Bap. Bellinelli plays like he’s auditioning for greener pastures sooner than later. Dennis loses any positive effect he may have with a -3.1 DBPM. How he isn’t a more fierce ball attacker with his length and quickness is beyond me. Baze and Delaney (combined .377 shooting) are Tank Commanders, commissioned with good reason. Magette anc Dorsey can do the same thing with much higher ceilings. People see the light at the end of the tunnel with Prince but I don’t. His game screams 7th or 8th man on a good squad. Lurker
Bud's defensive system got figured out. It got figured out even with better defensive players running it. It also doesn't hurt that Dennis is a complete lazy bum on defense and has been since he began to start.
