Well how did Schlenk covet JJJ whet he stated after the draft he wanted a playmaker? Which would be Trae & Luka.

Um, draft press conference BS means nothing. What's he going to say? "Wanted Jaren Jackson but Ressler nixed it." I don't know for sure of course but a couple respected writers reported Trae was not Schlenks first choice.

So it's BS when it fits your narrative about some drama going on?  Trae Young was rumored to Hawks in January.  Plenty of respected writers said Travis wanted Trae because of the Curry similarities.

Not necessarily drama, but there was not a consensus. Obviously he liked Trae, that's the player we took.

I think he'll be handling the ball like Toni Kucoc or like @kg01 fave Hedo Turk. Point Forward.

You misspelled Turkeyglu.

My guess is he got in the gym and they said...holy crap, this guy is slow...there is no way he guards PG/SG on the perimeter.

Pretty much this (IMEO).

The cute thing will be seeing what he does against 4's like, oh I dunno, Lebron, Durant, George (at times), Ant. Davis .... eh, I'm sure he'll be aiight.  I mean, he was beast-mode against them chain-smokin' Euros the past few seasons.  I swear I saw a dude smokin' a loosie in-game in one of his highlights.

Larry also played SF, not the point.

Luka has literally never been projected as playing point guard.  Wing / forward are the only projections I've ever seen.  Obviously, his playmaking abilities have been touted but Larry did a lot of that for Boston as well and was never considered for point guard.

What follows is the list of the top 15 PF's last year in the West.  Just so Luka D will know what he'll have to guard night in night out.  I'm super looking forward to that Anthony Davis, Luka Doncic matchup....and they think Trae is undersized.  Oh ya...I'm thinking  you can take Randle and Kuzma off that list because James will be playing substantial minutes at the 4 in LA.

AD, LBJ, Green, LMA are the only ones that will give him fits on offense and defense.

Melo maybe coming off the bench in Hou, Melo will Melo

Zac is old and playing in Sac and doesn't play much defense. Randle will be backing up AD in NOP.

The fact you list Ryan Anderson, he just might be slower a foot than Doncic and now playing in Phoenix who play no defense.

Lyles won't see much playing time with Millsap back as the starter.

The rest....meh.
