Moderators macdaddy Posted February 9, 2023 Moderators Report Share Posted February 9, 2023 I know we won't but i'd like to see a 10 man rotation for a bit PG - Trae Young, Dejounte Murray SG - Bogdan Bogdanovic, AJ Griffin SF - DeAndre Hunter, Saddiq Bey PF - John Collins, Jalen Johnson C - Clint Capela, Onyeka Okongwu Although i'd also like to see Matthews get a try out.

NBASupes
As Macdaddy posted. I like our 10 man unit and I like our 12 man unit. The depth is bad to good. As Macdaddy posted. NBASupes
@ABH this should be much better than a .500 team. The problem before was only 9 useful players. h4wkfan
So the addition of Saadiq will essentially take minutes away from AJ and JJ …. That’s excellent. I should add I’m probably higher than most on the addition of saadiq. But not sure why we kept bogi. Edited February 9, 2023 by h4wkfan

They can move Hunter to play as a small PF and have Bey on the court with him as the SF.

If they are planning on moving JC in the offseason, gotta prepare JJ.

I think Nate is a lame duck which means I doubt they cared or even listened that closely to whether Nate liked Bey or not. He may not.

Not this year. But last year, I think it may have been the opening of training camp when he indicated it was his ambition to play two units. Of course, we know how that worked out... with him actually sitting down one of his best assets (Delon) because he'd become persuaded he should only play 9. So, I'm not even persuading myself in arguing the other side.
Premium Member sturt Posted February 9, 2023 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 9, 2023 Are both Vit and Tyrese going to stick? Could there be a buyout or two that will capture our FO's interest?

Popular Post Gray Mule
See if I get all this correct: We had a 14 player roster. We now have a 15 player roster. Ages of the two Hawk players leaving: 29 and 33 Ages of the three new Hawks: 23, 24 & 26 Payroll for our former 2 players: $8.092 Million Payroll for our three new Hawks: $7,527 Million If these figures are correct, Hawks gain one player, become much younger and save $565 Thousand payroll. We did lose some 2nd round draft picks in the process. We drop two players who never played and get three players, all of which will have a slight chance of being used by Nate. But real insurance against injuries. Whoever was worried about our rookies in the front office giving away the Hawks team, I don't think it happened! If the above is correct, I'm pleased.

FL_BRYANT
Bruno Fernandez ? I don't get especially since a high upside player like Wiseman could have helped moving forward. Hawks make the playoffs then bounced in the first round. They have imprved but how much.Seems a little short sited . How will this affect the offseason. FL_BRYANT
Would have been ok with moving JC for Bridges and Johnson. The Hawks have given up a lot to end up a 500 team. Lets compete. Go Hawks.
