I hate to see anybody lose their job abruptly like this, but the Hawks were so frustrating to watch over the past few months I thought about taking a break. This change had to happen and probably should've happened two months ago. I thought Indiana was crazy for letting a coach that got them to the Playoffs go. Now I totally understand why. We were warned by the Indy fans and they were 100% correct. Hopefully, this season can still be salvaged.

if we finish the year 5 games over .500 and go 7 games in the first round then I"ll consider it a success at this point.   Sad i know.

I don't think Nate really ever wanted a HC job again.  I could be wrong but i think he really took the assistant job to Lloyd to try to help LPs career.  He so obviously doesn't like the state of the current nba.

Something about knowing you have a lame duck coach makes the game less enjoyable.

Already seeing the Trae 'coach killer' comments hitting twitter but here's the thing.  Both guys deserved to be fired and both of them will likely never have a HC job in this league again.   So keep slaying 'em Trae until the org puts someone competent in there.  Careers are short.

Ya but the knicks are always cheeks and Kobe was broken, he's the GOAT at handling personalities and getting players to buy into their roles which is exactly what our team needs

For real, if coaches are "getting killed" by Trae, they gotta be doing something wrong. It's like I've heard - No happy marriage ends in divorce, so if our team was good and happy, coaches wouldn't have to go right?
