Probably has more to do with being a lame duck coach.. like Geoff Collins fired last fall mid-season. It restores optimism earlier than later whether results follow or not.

I know what they should do and what they probably will do are not necessarily the same things.  Nate needed to be fired.  Things have gone downhill since he went back to his defense first, slow ball isolation game.  

What should happen?  First calls should be made to Quin Snyder and Kenny Atkinson.  

What will happen?  They hire whoever Trae wants.
