There are times in which Jalen isn't part of our best 9 players.  But there are situations and matchups in which Jalen may be one of our top 7 players.

The coaches have done a bad job keeping him in this rotation, in hopes that other people will start to play well.  It's crazy that he's not in this rotation, when this team is small as hell.

I haven't been in practice with anybody.   It may be that Jalen walks around feeling entitled?  We don't know.   He's not in the top 9 on anybody's list so far.

Who's minutes do you replace?

I want to see both of our young guys get spot minutes, and see their minutes extended if they and the team are playing well.

I don't know how any coach can be married to the same 9 players on this team, when we MIGHT have 3 top 75 players on this squad at the max. 

We're the same fan base that talk about Capela being sent to the bench for Okongwu, who some think also should see some minutes at the 4.  Our role players are hit and miss on a nightly basis.  Sometimes our star players are too.  So how can any coach be married to the same 9 players, and we're a .500 team?

 

To me, here's how I would split the minutes up:

PG:  Trae ( 34 ) - Dejounte ( 14 )

G:  Dejounte ( 20 ) - Bogi - ( 24 ) - AJ ( 4 )

F - Hunter ( 20 ) - Bey ( 20 ) - AJ ( 8 )

PF - Collins ( 28 ) - JJ ( 12 ) - Hunter ( 8 )

C - Capela ( 24 ) - Okongwu ( 24 )

 

Total minutes

• Trae - 34
• Dejounte - 34
• Hunter - 28
• Collins - 28
• Capela - 24

 

• Okongwu - 24
• Bogi - 24
• Bey - 20
• AJ - 12
• JJ - 12

Adjust the minutes according to how well people are playing. 

 

And if you want to give more minutes to Bey and/or Bogi, just cut the minutes of the kids . . but still play them.  Play one in the 1st half, and the other in the 2nd half.

It's not as hard as these coaches make it out to be.

It's not that hard . . . At minimum, just play one of the kids each half.  Get them a solid 8 minute run a night.

Here's a different look, with both AJ and JJ getting double figure minutes and playing each half.  Like I said, it's not that hard.

Oh yeah, I’m sure someone has mentioned it.  But how disgusting was black jerseys versus hot pink on a red and blue floor?  I guess the old tried and true “color vs white” sports matchup is officially over.  Gives me new appreciation for the State Farm grounds crew when they put up that slick Peachtree floor to match the fit.  Bullets never gave a f%*k about nothin
