Would you describe the west coast trip as being successful?

It was successful in showing that rebounding is still an issue.  Tyson Chandler with 27 rebounds?  C'mon Hawks.

The two close losses were heartbreaking...  So close, yet so far.

Not successful for me.   That phx loss was ridiculous even without Sap.   We just keep showing ourselves to be light years away from the real contenders in the league when we can't handle really bad teams.

I was thinking we should have gone 3-1. If we lost to Sacramento and Portland I would have been semi okay with that 2-2, but losing to what was left of the Phoenix Suns really ruined the trip.

I'm indifferent.  I would've said "unsuccessful" had we struggled last night but they dominated.  My main concern is the defense staying solid and Dennis learning.  The former is shaky, satisfied with the latter.

In a vacuum?  Yes, but we're hypercritical of the team right now and there is legitimacy to the fact that all 4 were beatable opponents.

no... The rebounding vs the  Kings was disgraceful... gave up 17 offensive rebounds. They would have blown us out , if they were'nt so sloppy on offense.
The Kings kept taking wild ill-advised shots, missing layups  and throwing the ball away. That's the only thing that kept the game close.

Suns game... not only did we let Tyson Chandler tied a 40 year old Suns team record with 27 rebounds, 
Chandler also broke a team record by getting 13 offensive rebounds
Sun's were without 5 of their 6 best players, so we basically lost to the Suns's Summer League team.

I Didn't see all ofthe Blazers game.

They blew out theNuggets, you could tell in the first quarter that we were desperate to get a win, and they played like it.

In 12 games, we are 6 -6 this month  despite the fact that we have only played 1 winning team the entire month.
I'm not impressed at all with this team right now.

We really could've went 4-0 on that trip had there not been key mistakes made late down the stretch (Sacremento) and had we given full effort for the full 48 minutes (Phoenix).

I was thinking the same. Sloppy defense lost the Sacramento game and no Millsap in PHX plus a hell of a shot lost that game. Overall the Hawks still got away with 500 on the road. And with that I'm satisfied, better than a losing record.

If you follow NBA box scores, you noticed that Philly is having their way with Phoenix.

Sacramento is seriously understandable but the Phoenix loss was the worst one of the season. Yes, worse than vs Brooklyn.

we have a serious problem with rebounding and defense in the front court.  Until this is addressed we are a middle of the pack team.

Yeah, that record-breaking season and winning the division and best record in the East and making it to the ECFs and 4 All-Stars and COTY last year was so "meh".....
