A lot of people projecting us to finish in last place but I really think 35 wins or more is possible

WARP Projections for each player currently under contract:

Jeremy Lin 0.2

Kent Bazemore 1.6

Dewayne Dedmon 0.7

Mike Muscala 0.2

Miles Plumlee -0.8

Dennis Schröder 0.9

Taurean Prince 1.1

DeAndre Bembry -0.3

John Collins 1.9

Tyler Dorsey -0.6

Trae Young 0.1

Kevin Huerter -0.5

Omari Spellman -0.1

So, essentially the entire team combines for 4.4 WARP based on FiveThirtyEight's CARMELO projections.  Just for comparison, Steph Curry has 9.6 projected WARP for the 2018-19 season, more than double the amount of the entire Hawks team.

There is absolutely no possible way this team wins 35 games in 2018-2019.  Even if John Collins explodes and becomes a 5 plus WARP player in his second year (unlikely to happen), the Hawks aren't getting close to 35 wins.

It'd be a pleasant surprise assuming Trae/Collins/Prince have a lot to do with it but

1. Not as many teams are tanking this year. Those 50/50 games that pro-tankers were stressing over are gonna be harder to come by.

2. Our improvement will have to be almost entirely internal: no additions besides rookies and Lin.

3. First year head coach.

Here's one.

At the most, a team could believe in Schröder’s ability and surrender a first-round pick for him, but realistically, don’t be surprised if the Hawks trade him for a bad contract and a late first-round pick/early second-round pick. The Hawks and Schröder are destined for an ugly breakup, but at this point, it’s in the best interest for both sides to move on from each other moving forward.

Another showing what they thought realistic trades for Dennis were pre-draft.

Hawks trade Dennis Schröder to the Indiana Pacers for Darren Collison and the 23rd and a 2020 second round pick

Hawks trade Dennis Schröder to the Utah Jazz for Ricky Rubio and the 21st pick

Hawks trade Dennis Schröder to the Detroit Pistons for Reggie Jackson and their unprotected 2019 pick

Honestly, that website is no more credible than you or I tossing out our "realistic" trades involving Dennis.   LOL @ them thinking that teams are going to give up a player AND a 1st round pick, for Dennis.

And now there is talk that management is being pressured into making sure they get value for Dennis in a trade.  I'm just curious as to what the perceived value of Dennis that the person putting the pressure on management is.  Also, I have little doubt that Ressler has set back and seen the Hawks get the butt end of several trades under Schlenk to this point, and is now growing antsy.

Great 1-2 PG tandem even if flawed by themselves in Young Trae and Dennis

I expect both Collins and Prince to be 1-2 options on offense.

I expect to see a major jump for Dedmon in terms of 3pt percentage

Bazemore and Prince have better backups in Huerter, Bembry and Dorsey.

Adding Spellman to backup PF is a majority upgrade over Tyler Cavanaugh. Maybe PF isnt as strong as last year but every other position can be better or much much better

Actually...

The people are right.   First time coach.  A bunch of ham and eggers who don't know the pro game.   We will be fighting SacTown for last.

There is no reason to trade Schröder yet

Nobody wants him.

We'll be fortunate to get a 2nd round pick for him.

The League have watched and listened from the mountains. They have watched with disgust as our team have been overseen by a child…who scoffs at sportsmanship, team play, and professionalism.  And now we want to trade this child who could not even win with Millsap and Howard because he would not pass the ball.

Dennis = Depends.

The reasons that some of us have the value of Dennis so low has something to do with our Hawk team and their tank season.  For the most part, they weren't really trying to win.  This alone had driven down the value of not only the value of Dennis but the entire Hawk team.  Even our own posters don't really believe.

Dennis is viewed as a poor risk because of his legal trouble.  Teams are reluctant to take a chance when things could blow up and have the law send him away for a period of time.  Probably not going to happen, but still ...

Depends how things go.  Trading right now, not very valuable.  However, if he stays with Atlanta, comes out and plays well, doesn't pout but shows himself to be an adult, this will be good.  Then, if he gets his legal problem solved, this will be a big help.

If this happens and some NBA team is in need of a point guard up around the trade deadline, Dennis could find himself going to a team headed, with his assistance, to the playoffs with high hopes.  This would be a win - win for all parties concerned.

Shedding Dennis right now, at all costs, does not compute well.  Let's wait and see what happens.

Didn't Drew get fired from his next gig or did he get another gig?

Definitely not Drew's fault. Drew inherited a team that went 38-44 the previous year and then lost 277 player games to injury. Only Khris Middleton appeared in all 82 games.

Highlights

Milwaukee’s 15 wins, 10 home wins and five road wins were all franchise lows as the Bucks struggled through an injury-plagued season.
The Bucks lost 277 player games due to injury or illness during the season, with the projected Opening Night starting lineup failing to log a single minute of court time together.
Players aged 26 or under logged nearly 75 percent of the available minutes for the Bucks on the year.
Ramon Sessions, acquired by the Bucks midseason in a trade with Charlotte, appeared in 83 total games for the season. Sessions became just the 40th player in NBA history to appear in more than 82 games, and the first to accomplish the feat since Jarrett Jack logged 83 games in 2010-11.
John Henson recorded multiple streaks of 15+ games with at least one blocked shot during the year. His 21-game run with at least one block from Dec. 13 through Feb. 22 was the fourth-longest in the league for the season.
Brandon Knight led the Bucks in both total points and total assists for the season, joining Brandon Jennings as the only players in franchise history to lead the team in both categories during their inaugural seasons with the franchise.
Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared in both the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge and Taco Bell Skills Challenge during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. The 19-year-old also became the youngest Buck ever to start a game for Milwaukee when he earned his first starting nod on Dec. 18 vs. New York.
