Praying Capela isnt injury prone for us....I guess we'll get to see more 1-4 p&r with Collins......But we're THIN in the middle with no Capela or Okungwu..smh

No Capela???? Damn, that means last year all over again at the 5.

But we dont have Jones or Dedmon..Hopefully Collins and Bruno can deal with Wendel Carter and Gafford..

Conventionally speaking, you have 3 players at each of the 5 positions, of course.

Schlenk curiously decided to go with 4 PGs and 2 PFs--and of course, the 2nd PF is playing his first season with that as his regular position.

It became apparent once preseason started that that was likely as much about Rondo and Dunn's health as it was Schlenk's mention that he took note of how much less often a PF and a C were on the court at the same time for MIA in the playoffs (... hinting strongly that he may have been thinking to go with 5 bigs overall regardless).

The obvious concern, though, was/is that Capela is coming off of a foot injury that sidelined him for much of last season, and then you have behind him a rookie with a foot injury and a sophomore who really is now in an extended rookie season, given how last season was truncated and that he was having to deal with his mom's illness and passing.

That adds up to a fairly thin front court in terms of reliability.

And now, we see that Goodwin is also dealing with an injury so that we only have 1 of 4 PGs available vx CHI.

Yikes.

Is it just me, or do we have more injuries than most other teams? We always have guys out.
