Obviously we could do that with everyone dressed out so idk why this would be the case but it feels suspicious.... I have not seen any of our guys suffer an injury on the court and all of these seems completely subjective day to day rulings from the medical staff. Like why is Gallo suddenly injured? Capela has history but looked 100% in the 4 preseason games and I didn't see him limping or anything like that... There's no conspiracy. It's just an organizational philosophy that guys dont play though pain or minor injuries.

Popular Post MaceCase
Meh, early in the season. Rather the staff is overly cautious now than guys needing to sit in February and March when the playoff picture shapes up.

Against Memphis today, I decided that the best lineup is the waffle house 5 which is our original core 5 lineup. The issue with Bruno at the 5 against Val is he's too small on both ends and doesn't give us anything offensively against Val. While JC is too small, we can space Val off of the court and spam the PnR. The issue is, Melton is one of the best PnR busters and JC screening needs a lot of work. You actually have to screen Melton out of the picture for real. Defensively, you can play Kevin against Memphis. Our bench isn't as strong as it has been at the moment. We got Bogi and Bruno. Not sure Goodwin is playing. Solo will be our 8th man right now. EEKS! We got way too many players on the injury report.

marco102
Extremely small sample size, but the Hawks are ranked 6th in both offensive (114.2) AND defensive (100.4) efficiency through the first two games. http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/teamstats/_/sort/defensiveEff/order/false A good indicator of how good the defense will be is how we perform against the Nets. I believe the Nets will be rated number 1 or 2 offensively this season.

Val is one of the best centers in the NBA at drawing fouls. Damn. You called that perfectly, with the way the 1st half of the game played out. Collins immediately gets in foul trouble, and has to go out of the game. Bruno has to play most of the 1st quarter, holds his own, and creates 4 pts off 2 assists + a creates a few more points that doesn't go in the stat sheet, by freeing people coming off of screens. So contrary to popular belief, he's not a negative to the offense when he doesn't score. Bruno is our best screening big, because he actually makes contact with the defender as our ball handler goes by. This frees up our scoring PG and wings to do what they do. Bruno ends up ( +7 ) in the 1st quarter, due to the bench surge, and the Griz only score 22 points. Then we start Bruno in the 2nd half to . . . protect Collins from getting fouls against him. It worked. Bruno ( even ) in the 3rd quarter. Collins, still with only 2 fouls going into the 4th quarter. Bruno: 0 points - 3 asst ( 6 created points ) - 10 rebs . . . in 17 minutes. 1
RedDawg#8
What the heck is in the water today? The Nets, Celtics, Sixers, and Bucks all lost today to teams "lesser" than them. Bucks and Celtics with losing records to open the season.
