We don't have capspace to sign Lavine as  a FA outright. It would require a SnT.  To sign him outright, Hawks will need to dump ~$44 in salaries and take no money back to get under the cap to sign him to a starring salary of $36 mil.

And you are right, JC is too much to give up in a SnT. Good call on the DeRozan SnT:
